So does BOS have space? Kemba and Rozier's contacts are so far apart, how are they allowed to be traded for each other?

Walker's cap hit replaces Irving's cap hit and they lose Horford's cap hit?

The Sixere are paying Tobias Harris $36M a year. Every contract in the NBA, to me, is between twice and 20x what it should be. If Rozier is alright we might go 9-73 now and escape the worst 82-game mark.

I thought salaries had to match?

I think the Celtics have the cap space (sans Irving and Horford) to take on the extra $$$$ attached to Walker's S&T.

Not sure how we absorb Rozier's extra $7mil a year though (Walker's old $12mil + $7mil = Roizers $19mil).

I think that's because Kemba technically signs his new deal with us then is traded, so we are taking back less salary than we are sending out.

two potential silver linings with Kemba's departure: opportunty to add size at the point; Rozier is 6'1

opportunity to swing at low priced young players with upside; $19 Million!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

did we just help the Celtics steal Kemba by agreeing to pay Rozier $7 Mil more than the $10-$12 range he was projected to make?

meanwhile, IND does a S&T for Brogdon

Wow. Just Wow.

The S&T doesn't really help Boston if Hordford and Kyrie bail, they would have had the cap space. It actually helps us if we really wanted Rozier at this price point.

IND could absorb all of Brogdon's salary, we couldn't. He also can't play PG full time so it doesn't really matter.

Disgusting, we should be bargain shopping not overoauing. We should have been players in FA around Friday.

Next we shuffle our expirings for some vets and chase that 8th seed, we've got to get it sometime right? A 36 win team has to exceed expectation one time!

FWIW Rozier does have length at 6 foot 8 wingspan.

If they sign Hordford and sign and trade with hornets then that helps them right?

25-30 wins. Way more talent than 7 win team.

I am thoroughly confused. Do not like Rozier at the big bucks. If indeed a sign and trade I want picks as compensation. Ugh....I think....
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Hornets sign and trade max Kemba.
Celtics sign and trade Rozier at 19.
Trade exception is Kemba max 36 - Rozier 19.
Trade exception is 17 million.
Clint Capela fits into it.
It has been written...
