****, and I can't emphasize **** enough, no.

I would. I’ll drive the pick to Brooklyn. I think Nets will say no unless they get something significant.

That pick can get us a player that will be good when Tatum is being courted by NY and LA and deciding if he wants to stay in Boston.

Horford may not even be good as soon as next season. Father time claims everyone, and he looking at Horford's ability to move side to side as a 33 year old big man and saying "hmm you've had more time than most already".

Yeah I would give up the Memphis pick for 29-year-old Al no questions asked, but who knows how good he will be over the next four seasons?

I could never trade a potential #1 pick for my own player. It would kill me.

Yeah fair, that burden would weigh on me forever.

Is that an IT reference? Does that mean maybe or absolutely not?
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Butler leaving opens up a spot for Horford, doesn't it?

But at the same time, we'll have money to offer since we now have his cap hold. Offer enough and he's back IMO.

Yeah, okay. I just hope it's not that insane 4/118M deal that was rumored. If we have to match something like that, I wouldn't be in favor.

Okay, gotcha.
Ideal scenario: We bring him back for somewhere in the neighborhood of $54/3 yrs.
Next best thing: We S&T him to a team other than the Sixers.

That pick could be like 13.

Anyone know how much cap space Miami has? Could they be the mystery team for Al?

Then we roll with Timelord and the MLE. Horford is not worth that Griz pick at age 33. not even close. And i'm a big Al supporter.

But a league source indicated on Sunday night this sign-and-trade was not expected to be part of a larger scheme. Instead, it is more likely that it will be a quest for Boston to operate as an over-the-cap team, thus allowing it to have the full $9.2 mid-level exception to use on other free agents rather than just the $4.7 million room exception it would have had if it had signed Walker using cap space.

But the chances of Horford coming back to Boston still appear slim. While so many free agent deals and meetings have become public knowledge this week, his plan has remained mostly cloaked in secrecy.

According to a league source, Horford plans to speak with several teams on Sunday night and then make a final decision on Monday or Tuesday. He might have no interest in coming back to Boston, or the Celtics might have no interest in upping their initial offer.

To celebrate Reload letting us know a full day before the media did about Kemba, I went out to eat at Outback steakhouse an hour ago at the start of free agency and had a 22 oz blue moon on tap and Ausie BBQ ribs.

Himmelsbach saying Horford decision won't come until tomorrow at the earliest.
