Good, could you imagine if we offered him 4/109? We'd all want Ainge tarred and feathered (rightfully so)

Don't get me wrong, I love Al... but lets get real, he's already slowing down as it is.

I truly believe Philly got significantly worse today between Butler and JJ moving on.

Al Horford is a role player, he never was a star. He did everything well, but nothing elite.

Philly has gotten worse.

Still lost their two best scorers.

How many close games did butler win them last year?

Not ready to anoint Philadelphia champions yet but I think Kyrie taught us a lot about how maturity and chemistry matter.

Butler is a bit of a clown.

We need a center with some bulk. Give us Robin Lopez, please.

Yep. That's what I suggested last thread:

A poor man's -- or rich barber's -- Al Horford.

I love that the best FA in this game hasn't announced anything. To be honest, I thought some dominos would fall around him.

It would be great if it drags it out a month.

Leonard probably just set out in his 20 year old chevy for a long solitary trip to consider his life's direction with the NBA being one of many points to weigh.

Horford makes the Philly team legit.

**** hell.

Hate this sport right now.

They lost JJ and Butler.

Redick was a defensive liability. Replaced him with a younger Richardson who is a 36% career three point shooter. Not great, not terrible.

Butler was a weird fit with the rest of that roster.

Having seen Horford play with us the dude is a difference maker. Will be a great locker room presence for them. Defensively him and Embiid is scary together and we all know Al is a talented offensive player.

Might only be for a year or two before Horford declines significantly. Still pisses me off he goes there.

He will have a big impact mark my words.

Yeah I agree. I hadn’t realized they had gotten Richardson too until a few minutes ago.

Sixers will be the favorites to get to the Finals out of the East barring injuries . They are loaded.

no Redick is huge, they don't anyone who needs to be chased around the court. Overall it makes them much easier to guard. Granted we don't have anyone over 6ft8, but you get the drift

Hopefully Ainge gets involved and salvages something out of this.

Yeah it's laughable to consider him much of a vocal leader after witnessing last year's Celtics.

They need shooters though. Who can shoot on that team?

And Simmons and Embiid arent?

Might as well paint Joel's face white and purple a red nose on him.

Not to mention they have no bench.

I’m tired of watching Al miss all of those easy shots anyway. That is what I’m going to tell myself to cope anyway. Ugh.

So are the Cs going to stay below the luxury tax, to reset the "repeater" clock?

I agree. Butler gives them a perimeter guy that can shoot and penetrate. Even with reddick, that team would be slow and struggle to shoot outside. Theybwould be good at the post though. We need an athletic big desperately.

Simmons and Horford together takes away a lot of Al’s best qualities.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He made 58 year old Gasol look like prime Duncan.

JVG had a good line during the Finals. He said Boogie was running like Dirk. Not prime Dirk, but old man limping Dirk

Does Leonard drive a car?

I pegged him as a guy that puts a Tesla in autopilot and climbs into the trunk while driving.
