Because our roster is flat out awful right now.

Kemba is the only all star on the roster.

We don’t have any bigs.

Durant won’t play for a year. He will be at best about 85% of the player he was, and that won’t happen for at least a year and a half.

Nets got worse by getting Kyrie.

Sixers should he really scary? But who guys to the bench? Harris or Al? Most likely Horford. But he will play starter minutes.

Kemba isn’t only a star but he makes teammates better. It’s the opposite of the former, recent PG we had. Kemba makes the Celtics better.

Sure we need a center or two to go with RW and hopefully Tacko. But Boston still has time to address the center position which I still believe they will. We need a rebounding center that plays defense. We will have plenty of offense.

And people are forgetting that Hayward will be a much better player come October.

Yup me too, that remains to be seen. That’s one big lineup though. They gonna pound us inside with that lineup.

They are in the mix. I think Harris overrated, and Al is good. But he isn't great. I love al though.

Not sure they have enough scoring on the wing. Defensively, they are a problem.

Sure they'll roll through the regular season.

But Horford is 33 and now has to cover PFs.

Harris is playing out of position at SF and also is a question mark speed wise at that position.

Embiid I'm not sure besides that one year we eliminated has ever lasted at full speed into the playoffs.

That's a lot of doubling down on guys who aren't that fast in the era of PnR speed and 3s. They might be sneaky not as great on defense as you'd think if Horford loses a step.

horford never wanted to play C, so i'm sure that's part of the reason he went to the 76ers.

Re: Horford, I get it for both sides. That’s a helluva deal for him and this is a business — he didn’t owe the Celtics anything.

My biggest concern remains who are we going to have up front. Doesn’t sound like we have the MLE with just the Charlotte s&t so if it’s just the $4.something million, no idea what that’s going to buy in this market. Gibson got $10 million. Dedmon got over $13 million. Bryant got over $8 million. Hopefully there will be a fit, but some of this money being spent is...well...interesting.

Simons can't shoot, Richardson shoots inefficiently at 41% last year, Horford is old.

They definitely worse than last year.

It’s a good point you make. Jimmy Buckets was their closer and saved them a bunch in the playoffs. That team has no closer. We know from experience sweet Al is NOT a closer!

Theoretically Al guards Tatum? That’s a win.

Meanwhile Embiid puts up 40 and 20 against our awful front line.
