I think Fall has a better chance of playing in NBA games next year than Bol Bol. He just doesn't do anything special besides being huge but he can play. He can dunk, rebound, block shots commit a ton of fouls. He is 7'6" and 300lb and is reasonably coordinated.

He might be starting for us when we play Philly.

Just think if this were the normal midnight start time of free agency, it would be 4:13 am EST right now.

He really doesn't. It's more on the idiots who are running the teams who determine it. Thankfully the Celtics have Ainge.

Well the lakers will be favorites next season if that happens. They will find a way to build that roster up.

4 players and a bunch of min vet guys. I really don't see how that is a favorite.....especially when LeBron is going to be yet another year older

Yep Kanter and a good defensive center on the min would make sense.

I'd rather have Robin Lopez than Kanter.

To early to tell, but I’m with you, not a bad day for the Celtics.

Disagree Philly got worse. Richardson and Al are better than JJ and Butler..Philly lost so much when Embiid had to rest..now they have Horford there..defensively that team will be insane..they still have moves to make ofc. As of now, they are the best team in the league. It could have been worse if they got Butler, JJ and Horford..but nice save for them anyways. Bucks I agree.

Pacers though..Brogdon, Dipo, Lamb, Sabonis and Turner is nice. I looovee that Dipo and Brogdon backcourt so much. Defensively, having to go through that only to be met by Turner at the rim..whoof.

There isn't anything special in the NBA though..there is no juggernaut. There is no Golden State for the first time in like 5 years. If LA doesn't get Kawhi, this upcoming season can go anyway... should be fun.

LOL I lie to myself at times too.

Where am I off base? Philly is essentially trading Butler and Reddick for Horford which is a huge L. Milwaukee is losing Brogdan....The Raps could lose Kawhi. Butler is going to a treadmill in Miami and Indy mildly improved.....I don't see where we are taking some kind of hit

Horford balances out that Philly roster. Josh Richardson can score in bunches as well. They are definitely improved.

Milwaukee was still really good last year without Brogdon. Plus.. Giannis...

Agree with Miami and Indy.

I don't think they can act until they know for sure do they have MLE or room exception. When they know for a fact that Nets don't wanna do a 3 team sign and trade, they'll move on.

I fail to see a point in signing a defensive sieve at the 5. Especially in a conference that will pit us against the likes of Embiid and Giannis.

Nets do look like they will be formidable if KD can come back at 90%+ of what he once was but they are still kind of doing the Celtics a favor. First of all, as much as I really don't like the gamble on K Walker at 4 years 141, I'd rather C's do that than have them pay Kyrie the 5 year max at 190+ or match that offer to Rozier. In addition, it is good that the EC bar is being raised a bit over the next couple of years. When it was just a crappy Cavs team like 2018, Wyc/Ainge could get away with fooling 2/3rds of the fanbase/media that the Celtics were closer than they actually were.

The threat of a first round exit if Celtics don't improve a lot it a good motivator. Now is the time Ainge needs to get out his rolodex more than ever. He needs to find out the likelihood of a premium big popping loose at the deadline. Can't know for sure but if he has great relationships with let's say Warriors GM, he may get the truth on how realistic it is for them to trade Green a few months into season.

I wonder if the Knicks tried for Dlo? They should swoop him up so Lakers have no one if Kawhi doesn't sign.

kanter would be an awful signing. dude is awful on d. need a rim protector, not a rebound padder. can already tell williams isn't going to become that either, aloof shot blocker is what he is.

If Jimmy wants to go to say Houston, they want Horford and Horford is committed to flying the coop anyway we go along to get some assets in return?

Could backfire. Also could complete the team.

Edit: Missed the other move. Still we might help things along and help Horford get paid more if we can get something back.
