I like the move. He's not a perfect player obviously but he might be the best PG the Suns have had since Dragic in 2013/14.

Good defender, great passer. Hopefully he's in his prime right now and his 3 point percentage can go up to like 34-35% but obviously that's hard to count on.

I also like that this allows Tyler Johnson to be a backup guard, he's nice off the bench.

Resign Kelly, add a backup 4/5 and let's see what these kids got.

My initial reaction when I woke up and saw this... meh. I don't hate the move at all, just feel the front office was too scared on striking out going for the home run and instead went for the smart play and went for ground ball single.

Rubio is definitely better than going for Rozier, and I can see the front office because hesitant in going after injury prone Brogdon, as he may have only signed with us for $24 mil a year. Beverly was too old, and thank god we didn't go after Corey Joseph.

I'm content going for Rubio, he isn't a shooter but he can at least setup our shooters. Hopefully everyone else takes a huge step in improvement this year.

Another thing about Rubio though, if he was our intended target, we should have just kept Igor.

I like this signing alot, he will make it a lot easier for Booker and give Ayton some easy points. You guys finally got a point guard that can pass and share the ball right. He will make everybody better.

Well we should've tried to get Rubio last season to be honest. I think Igor probably would still have his job. To buy into Igor's system enough to hire him and give him no PG's to run it is the epitome of stupidity.

I'm going to reserve too much judgement til he plays his first game as a Sun.

We've seen him have some flash but also some flops, but the fact is he's a 6'4" PG, in his prime, who is pass-first and genuinely liked by teammates. He gets to the line well (career 3.7 FTA @ 84%) and will make Ayton and Booker better.

Look at the other deals - Rozier 3/$58m seems ludicrous, give me Rubio, every time.

Brogdon 4/$85m...wash. Brogdon is only 2yr younger and isn't the playmaker Rubio is, but he's clearly a better shooter which is what we needed.

He spoonfed Gobert 3-4 easy buckets a night, so I look forward to seeing him put Booker in open spots and run the PnR with Ayton, or get out on the break with our wings. He's a smart player, we needed that next to Book. Also means Tyler J (if he isn't moved on) shifts to the 2nd unit, which I really like.

Solid job. I thought I'd be mad as hell but for the price and his age (will be 28 in October), I'm actually quite pleased.

Yeah that's true. Their takes usually favor the hipster teams and teams for whom they root.

I trust Kevin o'connor enough and his live reaction to the deal was not good. I think it'll be very interesting to watch our team next season. I think more important than Rubio will be the growth of Booker, Ayton, and Bridges
