Knicks send out an apology 3 hours into free agency instead of just letting their actions do the talking..I wonder how pissed Dolan was into forcing Mills into that..2 things I’ve learned today, first is the Knicks will never be good unless from owner on down they are on the same page, and second the narrative that the media is the reason for our failures has got to stop because the Knicks continue to bring it on themselves

Mcneil is some kind of player. He's averaging nearly .350.

TO be honest, we were competitive a few seasons ago. That run Murphy had us on going all the way to the WS was the best moment as a Met fan in about 15 years (since the subway series WS.)

Even though I grew up less than 2 miles from Shea, AND the Mets were good in my "formative bball years", I became a Yankee fan as the old man took me to a couple of games. And the Yanks weren't any good.

I've been to FAR more Mets games though. It was easy to walk up and get cheap seats back in the day.

I see what you are saying. And I hate to be that guy, but I'm still sure the FO wanted KD after the injury. This stuff we are hearing about not wanting to give him the max was just damage control. It was clear the Knicks' plan failed when KI went to the Nets. I'm not saying this can't work out for the Knicks. But their plan A failed.

Anyways, I'm still iffy on these moves. Sticking to their guns would mean continuing the rebuild like using your capspace to get more picks. It sounds like they are trying to sneak into the 8th seed.

There is NO WAY the Knicks drop the leak BEFORE FREE AGENCY that Dolan wants complete medical due diligence on KD if they wanted him at max dollars. There is only one reason they'd seed that which is to back away from KD, because you don't do that if you want to sign him grasshopper

People said Kd and Kyrie to Nets was done a week ago.they knew because they have some business venture video planned.

Conveniently after that is when the Knicks leaked that statement. It was damage control
