Ainge is too busy thinking of ways to acquire more undersized guards and picks to hoard. 8)

Pels had a good amount of cap space, yeah? Guessing this number comes in a lot higher than people are assuming. I've never really been a Favors guy.

Assuming we can get him cheap if the Kings keep pumping out contracts I think he is useful, but he isnt worth a bomb at all

I’m telling you guys...it’s Kanter.

I don’t want it. But I feel he is very active and would have signed right away or set up meetings. I think Ainge promised him but can’t release it until they get the money.

Keeping Baynes is surely still a possibility.

Jared Weiss (via poster CrushEveryDay on Reddit):

https://theathletic.com/1054803/2019/06/30/sources-terry-rozier-agrees-to-deal-with-charlotte-hornets/

"Rozier was a restricted free agent after the Boston Celtics extended the qualifying offer to him, but was close to finalizing a deal with the Phoenix Suns under the expectation that his qualifying offer would be rescinded to renounce his cap hold and make cap room for the Celtics to sign Kemba Walker. However, the Celtics and Hornets established the potential framework for a sign-and-trade deal that would result in a substantially larger payday for Rozier to comply with base year compensation rules."

"The deal allows the Celtics to retain the midlevel exception at $9.3 million and biannual exception at $3.6 million, in lieu of just the $4.8 million room exception they would retain if renouncing Rozier."

I’d take him on the room exception all day.

I'm starting to warm up to Kanter or Cousins tbh. A post scoring big man with a 4 out shooting line up might be cool.

Can't see anybody worth a damn on the defensive end tbh.
