That would be an interesting trade, I'm curious if Portland would do it.

You can easily buy a late 1st for far less than 15M

Our FO is great at building a treadmill team but not a championship team.

Simmons will never win anything next to Embiid. Awful fits.

Simmons needs to be surrounded by shooters just like Lebron was. That’s the only way he can be used well.

Did GS actually trade three 1st round picks or one pick that becomes completely unprotected if not rendered by 2026? Sports Center just mentioned one pick.

So we couldn't have moved Val, Dunn and Shrek for 2nd round picks and got Russell? Come on...

No because it appears the Russell trade and Durant signing with BKN are going be interconnected in a way for cap purposes

The Knicks just signed Bobby Portis. I don't know what the hell that organization is doing, but we need to get on the phone with them right now and see if we can get a first round pick from them. They are so insanely bad that the league really should consider intervening.

Glad we didn't pay him. Otto is a much better fit for this team.

Maybe they take Shrek and a second for nothing?

I mean, they won't be good, but it's not that bad. They're essentially just continuing their rebuild. I assume Taj and Portis will come off the bench(both are only two year deals, so they are stop gaps), and that they'll go with a Robinson/Randle/Knox/Barrett/DSJ lineup. Probably in the bottom half of the conference, but it seems like a typical rebuild to me. They'll probably keep their picks and draft some more high-end talent in years to come. They won't be a good team in 19-20, but I don't see where the terrible moves they made are. They just had bad luck in the lotto, then couldn't deal for AD, so they're doing what they can.

KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Randle signing is okay, but if you're the Knicks and your city is just dying for you to do something good, you cannot invest all your money into essentially one position. Portis is a poor man's Randle. This is just terrible.

Noah, Rose, Curry, Crawford ... long list of former Bulls going to the Knicks.
