I mean, they won't be good, but it's not that bad. They're essentially just continuing their rebuild. I assume Taj and Portis will come off the bench(both are only two year deals, so they are stop gaps), and that they'll go with a Robinson/Randle/Knox/Barrett/DSJ lineup. Probably in the bottom half of the conference, but it seems like a typical rebuild to me. They'll probably keep their picks and draft some more high-end talent in years to come. They won't be a good team in 19-20, but I don't see where the terrible moves they made are. They just had bad luck in the lotto, then couldn't deal for AD, so they're doing what they can.

Randle signing is okay, but if you're the Knicks and your city is just dying for you to do something good, you cannot invest all your money into essentially one position. Portis is a poor man's Randle. This is just terrible.

Randle, Taj and now Portis. Hilarious.

We've been rebuilding for 2 years. How long has Philly been doing this???

NY needs to release another official statement, apologizing for their stupidity. One isn't enough for today.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Forget about Philly, I was talking about the Grizzlies and Pelicans who are just accumulating young players, picks, and good vets. The Nets and Nuggets are two other teams that are having an impressive rebuild.

It's one pick.

Anyway, you can't trade first round picks in consecutive years.

sam hinkie had an actual plan and executed it optimally. four years of suckage. colangelo and brand have done their best to screw it up and they were still within a lucky shot of taking toronto to a game 7 overtime

bulls should've started rebuilding a year earlier too

Said it earlier, but Kawhi is pretty much going to decide if the Lakers walk away with a title next season or if the field will he pretty open.

Not sure what Jamal Murray extending from his rookie contract has to do with 2021. Was he a guy who you were really targetting considering the Bulls have a equivalent player in Lavine?

Man, as players from anywhere between the 70's and 2000's, must be just rolling around in hysteria right now, seeing all the contracts being dished out this off season.

What a time to be an NBA player.

So essentially the Warriors lost Durant, traded Iggy for cap space, and used that space to sign Russell. I'm not a big fan of Russell, but he is only 22 and has shown improvement. And Warriors had to do something to offset the loss of KD. They're moving into a new stadium, and have sold luxury boxes and season tickets at premium prices promising fans more championship caliber basketball. So you have to give them credit for rebounding from KD's departure so quickly. I wonder if this deal had been in the works for awhile, just waiting on KD's decision. And Russell does supply a big need- for more scoring, and someone who can play in the Warriors run and gun style.

Losing Iggy is huge for them too though. He has been their best perimeter defender ever since they got him, and he will be sorely missed in the playoffs. OTH, he's not getting any younger, so probably better to trade him a year too soon rather than a year too late. And now they still have their 4 all-stars.

What type of contract would Zach had received if he was a free agent this season?

I honestly think he would have received the max from some team.

He was mentioned on a list as a possibility.

Why do people continually say the Bulls don't have a plan? I just don't get that. Their plan is as clear as day.
