Lol so what? He did nothing to any of us..So in order for us to be okay with Al's departure, e has to make a list of all teams that don't rival the Celtics, and that fans won't want him to go to so they can be okay with his departure?

Al owes us nothing, he can go wherever he wants, and I think anyone disowning him because of this needs to just remember..it isn't personal. Let's toughen up here. This kind of fandom and investment is obnoxious

I never said Al owes us anything. I just don't have to appreciate him. He didn't win anything while here and he went chasing the money. It's his life. He can do what he wants. I don't have to appreciate his time here.

And his fake "I love Boston" garbage.

so the Celtics didn't want to pay him and you still blame the player?

100%.

In the same way some trades are disrespectful to players, signing with a rival is disrespectful to fans/teams. There was money on the table at other teams (Kings for example).

Oh my God lol "Al, you're a free agent, we accept you are leaving us and our fanbase behind, but to spare us disrespect, here is a list of teams we do not want you to sign for" what an ugly sentiment.

Let's be objective here. There is disrespect here. Who is being disrespectful in that scenario? Hint. It's not Al. Jesus Christ, his fanbase takes things too personal with this team. Get a grip guys.

Expecting Al to make a career decision that won't upset the team's fanbase of which he is leaving, and then disowning him when he does so, is that Boston kind of narcissism.

Seem pretty frustrated to me dude. It's not personal. We should expect Al to make a decision with Boston fans in mind. It doesn't have to be upsetting. It really isn't personal. It's not real betrayal

I'll wait on this opinion. The last story I read was that once they were able to make the Kemba deal a sign and trade, the Celtics then pushed hard to keep Horford with their Bird rights. So we'll wait and see when the smoke clears and what was offered. If they offered roughly the same deal, then people better be prepared to take the truth over a nice story

woj said that Cs offered 4 years but the money were not there.

It's hard to get mad at Al. But it's also interesting that he probably won't take any heat from this when Ray got so much heat for leaving in a somewhat similar way.

Kinda devastated by this. Philly?!? That’s a crazy good front court. Scary. Good luck Al, but not really.

I like how all teams have the cap space to offer max contracts left and right with no issues. Anyway the NBA is going to de dead once again when Kahwi will announce he signs with the Lakers. Goodbye Mr.Horford, have a nice run playing with your kid.

Al is the man. Sucks that he's going to Philly but they had the money. Dude deserved better in Boston.

welp philly just got a lot better. horfordl is exactly what they needed. atm i have them as the faves in the ECF.

good luck al. you got paid and got to a contender. i hate to admit it but philly is a lot closer to contending than we are right at this moment.

not really upset that we didn't pay that money, even if we could have which we couldn't.

Pretty much, when I heard the pay cut rumors I thought he was taking under 20 mils a year. 24 mils is not much of a pay cut.

Still love the guy and happy he got paid again. Wish him good luck unless he's playing us.

edit: actually it's about 27 mils a year? So yea no pay cuts there.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

The frustrating part is that he was a big component of how we frustrated Ben Simmons and Embiid. Defensively he'd execute the dare Simmons to shoot defense, and offensively he could step out and make Embiid venture too far out for comfort.

Just being an irrational fan here but what do we owe him? We’re fans of the Celtics and he left us for one of our rivals so we’re mad. Irrational I know but being a fan makes you irrational sometimes, at least me and obviously some others too. I want everything to go well for the C’s first, F the rest. I loved Al but now he decided to take his talents to Philly I dislike him and everything he does. I’m only barely starting to appreciate what Ray did for us winning the championship but that feeling about Ray is not even 10% of what I felt before him chosing Miami over us. It’s just an irration loyalty we vs the world feeling I guess.

Thanks for the years. You represented us properly. You are now the enemy though and here’s to Jaylen and Tatum dunking on you several times in the upcoming year.

https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/2019-nba-free-agency-tracker-deals-rumors-updating-title-odds

"'Al Horford signs with Philly

9:15 p.m. ET: The 76ers are signing Al Horford on a four-year, $109 million deal, according to reports. At Westgate, the signing moved the 76ers from 20-1 at 9:09 p.m. ET to 16-1, then 12-1, before settling at 10-1.

Here’s a full before-and-after breakdown of the four books we’re tracking:

Westgate: 20-1 to 10-1
FanDuel: Stayed at 12-1
DraftKings: 16-1 to 14-1
PointsBet: 10-1 to 8-1
While PointsBet shortened the 76ers’ title odds after the signing, their chances of winning the East stayed curiously stagnant, at +350.

Philly’s improvement in the 2020 title market hurt the prognosis for both Toronto and Boston. Odds at 7 p.m. ET, compared to 9:30 p.m. ET (via Westgate):

Celtics: 16-1 to 25-1
Raptors: 10-1 to 12-1"

Loved Al from signing until that last moment hoping he'd come back. I thought he made the most difference in terms of winning of all the players Brad Stevens has had.

From this day forward, I wish him nothing but the best... outside of the basketball court.
