Wait...aren't Randle, Gibson, and Portis all power forwards? (Or is Randle a small forward...?) Did the Knicks really just sign 3 power forwards in one day?

Now...
- Resign Sato
- Keep an eye on ...
Guards: Tyreke, KCP, Curry, Korkmaz, Milton (Tyus Jones, Joseph, McConnell and Payton if Sato gets ridiculous offer)
Wings: Parker, Jeff Green, Ellington, RHJ
Bigs: Vonleh, Wood, Holmes
- Use Kieff TPE and Dwight to get us another asset
I really think we need to find some young guys who have been non-tendered. Wood, Korkmaz, Ellenson, Lydon, Stanley Johnson, etc... Guys in there early 20's that could use a 2nd look.

Miami has to dump salary for Butler S&T to go through.
Can we do TPE for Winslow ? Or maybe Waiters ?

It's going to be a while before you'll see Evans play in the NBA again.
He's been banned for two years over substance abuse violations.

F Reggie Bullock, Damyean Dotson
F Julius Randle, Taj Gibson
C Mitchell Robinson, Bobby Portis
Did the Knicks sign Ernie Grunfeld as a consultant?
Looks like they are going for 30 wins. No shooting either.

He will have to get crafty and he really needs to improve his shooting a bit , shot selection would help, but the defence was lack of effort not ability so if he tries he won't be to much worse off
Some part of the defense was bone spurs and pain. Players like Kemba Walker tweeted that people don’t know what John was playing thru. Pain kills your efforts. And even then we saw him battle. We’ve seen him turn up his defense when it mattered. We’ve also seen him try to tough it out thru injury instead of resting. The fastest player in the league was standing still with the slowest average speed of all active players. Except in games where he fought through it and was a terror at both ends. Playoffs and against LeBJ or the big challenges.
Yeah the Achilles tear sucks. But I forget the name of the sports science show that showed a breakdown of John’s vision and mental reaction time. His post game analysis of games shows he’s one of the smarter heads in the court. The forced Opportunity of watching from the bench may help him see the game as coach not a player. You’d see him talk with guys coming off court even when he was in a suit. His mind is fast as his feet were. Flip Saunders cited him as the smartest player he ever coached. Repeated that after he left DC.
John’s athleticism when healthy was better than 99% of the league. If he lost 10% off the top he’s still faster than most. Still a 6’4+” point guard. Still long, still a sweet passer that got big contracts for every corner shooter who shared the court with him. And he had added a change of pace dribble since his first year in the league. And the assist leader finally gets a catch and finish target in Hachimura, who scores inside the paint and has Kawhi sized hands and instantaneous reaction speed himself. Plus stretch Bigs to space the floor.
If John returns pain free. You don’t even know what his top end may be. Time away from the game. Birth of a child. His moms cancer. And hearing all the doubters. On a guy who was counted out and dismissed and told before he couldn’t play the one game that had given him outlet for his aggression and energy. I think we get a refocused John Wall who has taken note of his doubters and is going to come back with a determined focused rage to shut them up and earn his due respect.
Tell you what. Bradley Beal seems to have no doubts. When you hear him quoted on the topic.
Athletic freak Dominique had some of the best years of his career after his Achilles tear. So did athletic marvel Rudy Gay. Now look at John post injury. Slimmer than he’s been in years. Back to his “Quick ain’t Fair” playing weight.
Y’all don’t know. There’s no reward for who gives up on a guy quickest. Me I’m Team Wall all the way. I say he shuts everyone up and justifies that contract by the end.

On the subject of the impact on his athleticism, it's always worth mentioning Wall's unorthodoxy of finishing lefty despite being right hand dominant with everything else.
I wouldn't expect him to lose much of his jumping ability with the injury occurring on his off-leg.

Re: Wizards 2019 Offseason Thread
They can no longer add a decent young free agent like Noah Vonleh unless they manage to use their TPE in a trade. It looks like it's Jabari Parker with Bird Rights or nobody at all.
"Nobody at all" is an option. It will allow them to use their TPE midseason if a tax team gets desperate to dump salary before the deadline.

Blazers seem to have too many SFs with Hood, Bazemore, Little and Harkless
Perhaps Moe could be had for the Morris TPE?

I don't see Jabari coming back. I have been trying to deny the fact they are rebuilding but it really looks like it after the sign and trade. I believe Beal will be dealt at some point as well, maybe by mid season.

I don't think they have any intention whatsoever of trading Beal. Beal is hanging out at the gym watching the team workout prospects in the offseason. The dude is invested in this team.
I think Beal is fully on board with a 1-year tank and reload strategy.
I don't think the team is all that enamored with Jabari Parker. But I do think there's a chance he comes back simply because we have Bird Rights and can pay him more. We can't sign anyone else for more than $3M or so. If Jabari slips through the cracks in free agency and nobody wants him for $8M a year or more, I could see the Wizards retaining him as an asset.
