Yeah I probably would have given Rubio like $14m-$15m so considering Roziers contract this isn't a big overpay at all. He'll play more minutes with us as well, probably like 32 mpg, so his stats will go up.

Just wonder what the ceiling of this group is. Hoping for some big strides by Ayton and Bridges.

Like any good team, you need good role players. But role players aren't putting us on a different tier if those young guys don't reach their potential.

Saric is only 25...I wouldn't count him out. And Rubio...who knows...we signed Nash when he was older and became an after thought Dallas felt it was worth moving on from and he instantly became an MVP. Obviously that won't happen with Rubio but the guy is in his prime....he may feel empowered here. He sets up someone like Ayton who can finish unlike Gobert and Book who can finish better than Mitchell (though of course they had Ingles)....he may gain confidence and start sinking shots......anything is possible...gotta believe it if you are a Suns fan. Oubre too...maybe he starts shooting better, understanding team defense and passing the ball. You never know!

We are going to be a better team next season. And, what is perhaps even more important, a watchable team.

What I like best about the offseason is that one can see a direction with all those picks and signings unlike during McD's regime when it was all about collecting assets. Perhaps not the flashiest of moves we could make but we are going into next season with a NBA caliber PG and PF. Finally.

You can't compare nash because he came to prominance when the rules changed and with dantoni, n especially after the game started to get called tighter, despite getting old. Hell, he'd be even more effective these days where everything's a foul.

But seriously, I do hope we get the lovely- whole is greater than the sum of its parts thing. Might be possible with an actual pg.

Rubiobro perspective: I think the fit with the roster is really good. Hopefully the team unleashes the Fun and Gun style and runs and scores and dunks all day. I think i am GREATLY gonna enjoy watching every single game (and i will watch every game at least once). Word of caution: he's gonna get guys the ball in advantageous positions all day; any athletic guy that can score is gonna look way better than he really is. You end up with Andrew Wiggins on a max contract that way.

Negatives: One thing i was really excited about wrt Indiana was some Eastern Time Zone.

Well comparing Rubio to Nash was obviously tongue in cheek, but players in different circumstances under new coaches can surprise, like Nash did. Obviously he doesn't have the shooting but he has probably has a similar or at least very high bbiq and court vision.

I haven't watched a lot of Saric, but he is still fairly young, is a great stretch 4 for offense and can move the ball and rebound.

We obviously will struggle defensively, especially if Bridges doesn't start, but our bench D should be decent...and we have more shooters.

The defense with saric n ayton will be an atrocity.
Rubio is decent, but he can't cover up for booker, who is an ole defender if I've ever seen one.
Then you have oubre- average. Bridges should start in that case.
IDK what they can do with jackson, he's just been a buffoon, forgetting silly off the court nonsense, just the on court wild drives n dopey passes.
Giving Warren away for nothing was priceless.
Drafting a guy not even invited to the table was almost better.
Honestly, I do like the Baynes pick up.
Rubio would've been O-K, but overpaid (when you're the sons though, who's going to come for less)

Are you one of those player fans that follow a specific player from team to team? Why Rubio? Just curious.
