Not sure there’s a way to do Rozier to CHA, Kemba to BOS, Horford and Richardson to PHI, Butler to MIA..we wouldn’t be able to take back anyone else from Miami in that case..
-- I'm not sure what Kemba's starting salary needs to be -- does anybody have that figure? -- but I imagine it's less than $35 million.
-- Horford's starting salary could probably be $26 million plus if Philly so chose.
-- The Hornets/Rozier rumor has half his salary being as much as $9 million.
-- Baynes is at $5.453 million.
So just with that we have $35ish million coming in and $40ish million going out. But with $40ish million going out we COULD have $50ish million coming in. So unless I'm missing something, there's plenty of opportunity to take in, for example, Olynyk's salary.
Of course, any such analysis ignores the issue of luxury tax repeater penalties.
Kemba's contract will take us to 109 million in payroll, we can go about 22 million higher without being tax repeaters.. assume we use the full MLE, that becomes 13 million.. so we couldn't take back two players from Miami - we'd go into the luxury tax again and we're hard-capped..
