I wish we were getting more info on the Butler to Miami deal.

It seems that Butler will figure out how to get there because that's where he apparently wants to play. But how much different is the money if it's not a S&T and does it get more appealing to re-engage Houston, etc....

I just feel like the info out there about this is really vague.

If the Celtics use cap room to sign Rozier, then trade him for Kemba, BYC is not in play. It makes it easier to match salaries. Or add a third team. JUST GET A TALL HUMAN PLEASE

Well the point is that Rozier and Brown spent last season complaining about playing time and touches and claimed Stevens was "babying" Hayward and it undercut Stevens and affected team chemistry.

I agree you can't pay big money to Brown but we already know how he handles worrying about his role and it's not good.

Could be, or perhaps he learned last year. Or perhaps the C's figure some sort of platoon with Smart at the 2 where Brown gets to play the first 5 minutes and be called starter and Smart the last 5 as closer, while they both play 30+ minutes a game. I just posted about Noel holding off on re-signing with the Thunder and some speculation that Boston may be one team trying to scoop him up. Even if the C's have only the room exception after all, might he take a million or so less to play in his home town? He certainly fits the profile of a defensive specialist at the 5 who wouldn't take many shots (though he's efficient in that limited role). If they can keep Smart from going crazy with his recent claim that he was "too unselfish" last season, there should still be plenty of minutes and looks for Hayward, Tatum and Brown, even while Smart might be paired with the starters/Kemba for more minutes than Brown is.

No reason at all IMO for Danny to go to max on him a year early.

Disappointing... for some reason I was under the impression last night we had the MLE. Dangercart is almost always right with this stuff though so I'll take his/your word on it.

Ah, thanks. But I'd think they might use their room exception on him? At his age, he of course should go for the chance to start in Boston ahead of backing up Davis.
