Exactly. Talking about money comes and goes. These guys are making $50 million a year. Yet about 7 out of 10 Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

Legacy my ass. Just a lot of ungrateful athletes. Fans should stop going to games. Let them talk about money comes and goes. These players and owners are out of control. They could care less about fans.

You don’t hear owners saying we are going to cut ticket prices. Lol. Greed at it’s finest combined with being ungrateful. Not a good combo.

The fit was weird so I was scratching my head when they traded for him.

I assumed they would keep him for this year while Klay gets back and then trade him. Are there reports suggesting they will trade him now?

I don't like that idea, for a couple reasons. I want Hayward to have the ball in his hands as a creator much more than he did last year; essentially he needs to play Al's role from the wing position. Adding Smart as a secondary playmaker will cause Hayward to stand in the corner a lot, like last year. Additionally, we really need a playmaker for the bench unit. Enter: Marcus Smart.

Kemba / Smart
Brown / Langford
Hayward / Ojeleye
Tatum / G Williams
*FA* / R Williams

I don't foresee a problem with too many playmakers among the starters. And I don't think we need a rigid bench unit.

That said, if I'm optimistic about Jaylen happily accepting a sixth man role, I'm wildly optimistic about Marcus doing so. So I'm OK either way.

I'm pretty sure he's very concerned. We have no idea what's going on in that office. We need to be patient, there's no other choice.

If we no longer sign veterans, that bench is extremely green. Stevens has to stagger his 1st-2nd units. One of Kemba or Hayward can spend time leading the bench unit.

I bet all of these 2y deals have second year non-guaranteed or team option. If that's the case, it's not a bad recovery for the Knicks. I love that they got two shooters Lakers targeted, Wellington and Bullock.

Im good with him starting but we need a vet behind him to soak up minutes. Timelord will be the Hacklord for at least the next few seasons.

Who are we counting as steadying vets at this point -- Walker, Smart and Hayward? The same guys we're counting as playmakers? We certainly want at least one of them on the floor at all times. And when it's only one, I guess we'd want Tatum (for offensive creation) as well.

It is possible Ainge already has his guy signed he’s just working on the money.

It seems like he’s just bargain shopping with what’s left. But he could have not wanted any of those guys that were signed early.

I got a weird feeling it could be Cousins. But I’m still thinking it’s Kanter.

Where is ddb? His boy Cauley-Stein is available. It has to be him or Kanter at this point.

Or maybe he did, but probably none of those was willing to sign for the room exception, which is all we have to offer.

We will be left with the bargain-bin PFs and Cs, plus any competent Europeans out there. Anything other than that would be a rabbit out of a hat (or a trade out of left field*).

*I'm starting to feel like a Brown-for-Capela trade would not be a bad idea considering the contract situations of these two players. Talent-wise I'd take Brown all the way, but Capela fills a need and is locked for 3-4 years at reasonable money (when compared to what Brown may demand, which may or may not be justifiable).

Way to go out on a limb Scal! So many other Celtic guys that could be in the media. I really dont get it....

It would be REALY disappointing if Danny roles into '19 with no center.

If Danny's foresight assumes Tatum and G Williams is fine for what the Celtics want to do this year at forward, fine. If he thinks R Williams is ready for Baynes minutes, that's fine as well. But we cant simply not replace Al and what we brought for match ups with other teams Centers.

Even if Hayward returns to form and Tatum and Brown fill it up with more opportunity (I think they will) we sill need someone with a brain that can play the middle, rebound, defend, and hit an open three. If we go in with no one, this team is going to lose lots games. I do believe we have someone in mind but we cant move until other contracts/trades are resolved.

Why is everyone referencing Tacko ******* Fall, who hasn’t played 1 NBA minute, when the Celtics have RW3 & Thies. PLEASE educate yourself! At least N1ce talked about TimeLord in this post along with Tacko ******* Fall.
