Donte's still a year younger than Brogdon was when he was drafted.

I wonder if a E'twuan More/Ilyasova deal makes any sense for NO. And how much sweetener they'd need. Both expiring.

Wouldn't really want to do it for only one year of him, but expirings and Indy 1st for Eric Gordon make any sense? Might be better off just using the Indy pick and waiting a year, assuming it's actually conveyed in 2020.

100% on-board if there's a way to make it happen.

I like this signing. Maybe I'm reading into it a bit much, but it's interesting to see the league shift away from small ball already. Steph and Klay and Dray made everyone realize that threes are where it's at, but then Giannis started to become unstoppable and teams are constructing teams that can stop dominant post players, while still being able to shoot. Look at the top teams going into next year. The Lakers are built on forwards, the 6ers are too, and if the Bucks can maintain their play they are big oriented. Other than the Raptors, Rockets, and Warriors teams are going big again. I think we're set up to be one of the best defensive teams, and are always going to be hard to stop on offense. I like it.

Of course he could, and likely will. I'd just put my money on never being Brogdons caliber being as both years of college he was about a 70% FT shooter. Hopefully I'm wrong

I think it’s neat we signed Robin. I wonder if the goal is to have a Brook clone or a separate strategy for him. Dudes are 31. This is cool.
I admit to being a terrible judge of talent and having minimal knowledge of the game of basketball.

I say just give them the same number and hairstyle and confuse the hell out of teams who try to check Robin from the moment he crosses half court.

Yes, and "ceiling" means "current skill level."

I say you still go after him. Make a deal to clear space. I am not sure what he's worth but my guess is his value went up a fair amount. We really do need to go get a guy like this. We have a couple of assets.

Deal to clear space? Have you seen our cap sheet? We're sitting at like 122ish committed after the Leuer stretch. Ersan doesn't get us to where we'd need to be.

He signed for what 8M? Ersan does get you close.

True. In that case I say we just ride with Fletcher MaGee because his ceiling is Steph Curry

"Close" isn't good enough that's the problem. Dumping PC and Brown to get there doesn't make sense either given what they're paid. We just don't have tradeable contracts that make a difference.

I like White Donte has a prospect going forward; he seemed like a quality contributor early on last season before injuries and more productive teammates began to swallow his opportunities to see court time. He shot 40% from three in his last year at Nova and definitely seems like he's a bit of a microwave offensively where he could go a few games without doing anything especially notable and then all of a sudden come out there and drop 25 one night. He's a smart distributor who I think could do some damage in a P&R with Giannis.

If he's healthy, he'd be the guy I could see them slotting in as the starting 2.

Don’t need to go that far, or do anything, to trick Marv Albert.
