Hes a rebounder, can block a shot or two but defense will be suspect still. He can pass and has a great feel around the basket. He was servicable for Portland after Nurkic went down and did well. Not sure how good he is at setting screens. But for 5 million I'm fine with it.

Kemba
Brown
Hayward
Tatum
Kanter

Smart
Langford
Timelord
GWill

Let's assume Hayward makes a leap forward in his bounce back from injury, and Brown and Tatum turn into 18-20ppg guys...still think 2nd or 3rd seed is possible.

Defense is a concern. But bargain for the price

For the money its absolutely worth it. Just use subs wisely between him and Timelord during crunch time.

Who is our center after Kanter gets assassinated?

Spoiler:
Sorry, bad joke. Stuff is scary and actually on the table, though.

Honestly, he was pretty decent during playoffs with Portland.

Kanter is about good as we can expect. Still need two more guys over 6'8 though.

I didnt know belichick had so many realgm accounts.

The production is what makes the contract such a good deal.

This is actually part of Danny's plan, using the little known "Assassinated player exception" to acquire a starting caliber big.

Eh, hes young and durable. We wont have to worry about his minutes or knees. Considering the options.. I mean, he's better than Baynes.

Yea.

Danny traded Irving and Horford for Kemba and kanter.

That's basically the sum of it as of now and I really doubt anyone would of said yes to this prior to last week.

Kemba I'm gonna get behind but lol on Danny and his abilities to get bigs

That’s not at all what happened. Kyrie and Al decided to leave as FA’s, and Ainge was able to secure an all-NBA point guard and signed a stopgap center with what little salary was at his disposal.

You clearly want to push the narrative that Ainge should’ve done something differently as you always do. I’d be interested in hearing from you what better options were available that Ainge turned down.

Am I excited about Kanter- No. but I’m not going to rip the GM after he salvaged what was pointing toward a total disaster of an offseason. I’m actually looking forward to watching this team this year. They won’t contend for a championship, but they could get there in a couple years if things break the right way. I am excited to see how brown and Tatum develop, Hayward’s improvement (if he can improve a little, he could be a big trade chip next offseason with one year remaining), and determine what we have in R Williams and to a lesser extent the rookies.

Interesting . If you were looking for a reason for home court against the raps, not looking very far

Well, If Brown and Tatum break out and Hayward can play...as long has Kanter can change his underwear, we'll be fine.
