I think he was angling for a big payday, and also dying for a starting gig. By coming to Boston, he's delaying his big payday for a year, but now has the opportunity to start for a strong team and show what he can do.

Yup that guy, because what we have isn’t going to work, not only are you going to have the same problems as last year but now we have the worst interior defense in the league, Philly is going to laugh at this lineup

It's funny. A few years ago we needed a guy like Kanter because we had huge offensive droughts. Now we just need a guy to play defense and we've added another guy who likes to get shots up to the mix. We must really be relying on Smart/JB to play some great defense on the perimeter to cover for everyone else.

In reality Robert Williams has the best chance to thrive, if he can make a huge leap I’ll feel a lot better but too many what ifs with this team for me to be confident

Honestly, I think he might be our bench big. I wouldn't necessarily assume he is the starter. There are certainly some shots to be had in the backup minutes if the distribution falls that way.

We were over the cap with all those guys... You can go over the cap to retain your own players but you can't just sign guys from other teams and blow past the salary cap. Those guys leaving got us under the cap, we used the cap room to sign Kemba, but now we are at the cap more or less and cant really spend on other teams free agents.

I don’t even hate the Kanter signing but if you told me a year ago we are going to lose Baynes and Horford and add Kanter I would tell you to gtfoh unless we’re going back into rebuild mode

Horrible in defense, but will abuse guys on the other end. He is the best offensive rebounder we have had in decades
