I predict the Celtics are going to end up doing a sign and trade for Player X using Yabusele and a first round draft pick.

Im indifferent with Morris. Give those outside shots to Tatum and Brown now. Lets see how Grant can defend. Its clear the offensive keys are going to Kemba and Hayward, with Tatum and Brown being forced to prove themselves. Lets finally see what we have.

Horford's deal w/ Sixers done two weeks ago. He was never coming back.
Money among other factors was a reason he left. He also wanted to play his more preferred PF position.

So if this was done months ago Danny really had his head in the sand and should have traded Kyrie at the deadline.

Get the impression Kyrie wouldn't have let this slip to Danny before the deadline.

Sure...if Kyrie wasn't lying to his face the entire time about his plans. Which he was.

"Months ago" could mean post-ASB/post-deadline.

Isn't the AS game after the deadline?

That's Kanter, except with fantastic touch. He can pass from the high post, and will grab every board. He sucks horrifically on D no doubt, but he will be a weapon for 20-25 minutes a game.

Kanter is a great rebounder - he’s led the league in offensive rebounding percentage a couple of times, I think - three, four offensive boards a night. He’ll be the best we’ve had in years.

What big man could we trade Brown for? Preferably a good defender. We have flexibility with adding salary filler & draft picks too. I think something like that would still do wonders for balancing the roster.

Walker / Smart
Hayward / Langford
Tatum / Ojeleye
TRADE / G Williams
Kanter / R Williams

Makes Danny's "Means we will meet at the alter July 1st" comment even more silly... Either Kyrie misled Ainge or Ainge was smoking that good happy love stuff

So he's supposed to tell DA that he's planning on leaving? Do you do that at your job? I don't say sh*t to my old job until I have the new offer signed and sealed.

How about McGee for the minimum?

Yep.

He bought into the "turn the switch" kool-aid. Stupid.

I would rather look to trade Yabu and picks for someone. I think they keep Brown and see how he looks to start the season

Yep. What I meant. Right around the same time. I think we won 10 of 11 games some time before the deadline. Danny was probably hoping the team was trending in the right direction.

Why does he care? He know he's leaving. He knows Danny is counting on him staying for the AD pitch. He can half-ass the rest of the season for another team as well as he did for the Celtics.

And to put it terms of your question: If I knew my employer was counting on me for a big project this summer but I knew I was leaving, you can be DAMN SURE I would let them know one way or another.

ETA: In fact, I did that when I left my last job.

To me he seemed so convinced that I believe the little rat misled him.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

The best part is now all the fans who were calling for Ainge to be fired before free agency even started will all learn their lessons and never doubt him again.

You're new here, but I'm not sure if this is sarcastic or not...

I'm not being sarcastic at all. I know I'm new here, but think about it. If someone was saying Ainge should be fired a few days ago, they must feel supremely embarrassed now. Surly they will take some time to think about things and learn from their mistake. It's not like anyone would make an error in judgment like this and then not learn from it. People always learn right? No one would just continually say Ainge should be fired, season after season, right?

I missed the last few hours. Anyone want to get me updated on rumors or predictions with us? I know Kanter is here.

I'm just bringing it up because the AS game is probably where they decided to team up. There may even be video of it happening, lol.

Could the Warriors S&T Looney to us for Yabusele & the Milwaukee pick?

Yabusele is nothing to them but he will expire soon & they will need some cheap talent to fill their roster for years to come, so a late 1st could help.
