Future Hornet? 6’6’’pg with reach. Decent bloodlines. Looks good. Something to consider.

No way.

Not only is his BBIQ super low and he takes horrible, horrible shots to support his deplorable shot selection, the circus (his father) that would come with him just would not be worth it for me.

Saying Lamelo might be as tall as 6'8 now. Hes very, very talented. But damn is his father a dumbass.

More on Haliburton.

He looks fun. Nice passing. with a lot of flair.

Weird jump shot though? Kinda low release point?

You’re right, he does. Very accurate though. Also 7-0 ft wingspan at 6’5”.

I do enjoy his passing, and he appears to play the game with a great level of love and enjoyment.

I couldn't find much on him on YouTube though. Wish there was more footage.

I'm not against LaMelo if it comes down to it. His father is a circus, but in small market like Charlotte it wouldn't be anywhere near like it was in LA with Lonzo. Plus, the dumbassery would be diluted between two kids lol.

Lamelo has always been the best of the trio. His older brother never had the shot Lamelo has. He also plays with a chip on his shoulder because he was thrown to the wolves at an early age. I'd be interested in him if he continues his development.

I'm sure Mitch and our scouts won't mind a MJ paid trip out to Australia to see Ball and Hampton play.

We aren't rebuilding

Post#131 » by 316Hornets » Tue Jul 2, 2019 1:01 am

The team had to know Kemba was not going to accept that low offer, yet they still drafted older guys in the draft. We bring in Rozier, an established player from a playoff team. Next, will be some trade using our expirings for better players. Then, another 12th pick in the 2020 draft.

Why did this get merged? I don't see the team rebuilding with the players they picked and are bringing in. Have we really lost that much by subtraction. Lamb + Kemba for Rozier, Washington, Martin? Some teams like New York are obviously tanking. We aren't.

PJ and Jalen were both sophmores. Not really sure they count as "older guys".

McDaniels??? You think he's going to play? PJ was one of the older guys taken at the top of the draft and Martin is 23 years old.

PJ is also a PF. He already has the size and that's good enough. Look at what Knox, 19 years old, did last year.

We don't have to try to tank to tank. You forget we were one Kemba career year away from being a sub 30 win team last season and that was with us actually trying to win.

This team will pick 8th in the draft at best. There is no chance we're making the playoffs. And I pray that for freaking once in our lives the lottery will be kind to us

Does it matter if I think he's gonna play? I said they weren't "old guys". They were 2 year college players. PJ is a better player than Knox was coming out. I don't understand the fascination with freshmen if they haven't shown much of anything.

Rui & Cam Johnson are older. Morant, Hunter, & Culver are also sophomores. So basically half the people drafted ahead of P.J. are the same year or older.

Most of the better 2nd rounders have been older college players. Brogdon (sr), Joe Harris (sr), Dinwiddie (jr), Middleton(jr), Draymond (sr). Jae Crowder (sr), Isiah Thomas (jr) , Chandler Parsons (sr), Jordan Clarkson (jr) etc. I don't really see the point of getting really wound up about it. The 2nd round guys that pan out usually come out of left field. I honestly think you take an upperclassmen or euro stash. The "fun" picks like Quincy Miller almost never pan out. I had to go back to 2008 to get a freshman 2nd rounder to make an all star team. (DeAndre Jordan is the only underclassmen out of the 2nd to make an all star team. Whiteside & Lance are the only other ones I could find. )

Jokic was the only non college player selected to an all star team out of the 2nd round. 2nd round is basically where you take fliers on older players imo.

 :banghead: Jordan doesn't know the word "Rebuild". I suggest we change this thread to Retool.

I wonder if Minn would be interested in saving 60 million+ on Wiggins contract over next two years. Batum has contract that expires year after this season. Wiggins has contract that expires in 4 seasons . Simply math 2 x 30 million =60million on straight up trade.
Then our starting roster and backups are:
Rozier,Graham, sign vet FA point
Wiggins Monk McDaniel
Bridges MKG Martin
Williams Washington sign FA
Zellar Hgomez Biz

Projected 2020 record 35-47...... draft top 12 again in 2020..lose Biz and Williams contracts

I really hope this team gets a top 3 pick, and can somehow get another pick in the top 10 in next years (2020) draft. There are good PG and C prospects in this draft. Let the play behind Rozier for a year (Roziers 2nd year here), then you have an expiring Rozier to trade.

Prospects I like right now:
PG - Anthony Edward's, RJ Hampton, Cole Anthony
C - James Wiseman, Vernon Carey, Isiah Stewart

PG - 2020 draftee, Graham, Martin
SG - Bacon, Monk, Martin
SF - Miles, ???, Bacon
PF - PJ, McDaniels, Miles
C - 2020 draftee, ???, PJ

I like a small ball lineup of
2020 draftee
Monk
Bacon
Miles
PJ

I read the forum every day and see how Cody Martin is always considered as a third option for PG, SG and SF. But for me is hard imagine FO dispende all this confiance and a so high pick to draft him, also could dratf in 52º, for a guy whith no immediate impact on de team. IMO i see him like the PG backup over Devonte, to help Monk. Martin, Monk, Batum, Marvin/PJ, Byombo or some like this.

Sorry for the poor english, i don't really speak english.
