Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Yeah, he's a much better shooter from range than I expected him to be (at this early of a stage I mean).

He has no shake though. That's going limit his ability to create open looks by himself.

Yeah in pure ISO situations. Otherwise you're just going to give him a ball screen and he's going to shred the coverage except vs Bledsoe-like PGs who can apply insane ball pressure. You can't possibly play drop vs Herro since his mid range pull up game and array of floaters/runners/push shots is ridiculous. And if he gets the switch he has tons of different step backs to just create the space to get his J off.
Teams are going to look back and feel dumb in a few years for not taking him top 10, especially in this era of shooting. Before the Butler trade I would have guaranteed that Herro is Miami's best player by year 3, not willing to say that anymore, but still. People were comparing Herro to Redick, Luke Kennard types when he should have really been comped to guys like CJ McCollum, D-Lo, etc. So much untapped PnR potential there, especially when you go back and look at every PnR possession at UK, absolutely elite in that regard, just lacking tons of volume due to UK's more strict roles that guys play.

First of all, I think his draft range is fine. He was mocked quite a bit later, but ultimately he's ended up where he belongs. There were some other talented players drafted around that range.
You're envisioning CJ McCollum and I can see glimpses of that, but he needs to overcome some major weaknesses I'm not even sure he can overcome. Herro can't shake defenders right now. That was even more evident yesterday versus non-NBA athletes. If you truely envion an on-ball scorer, he needs to be able to create seperation. And you're talking about drop coverage but I'm not even sure he can get seperation when switched onto a big. Right now there are so many ways to defend him properly if you ever game planned for him.

He's going to make the team.
Why didnt Thanasis ever make it in the league?
He has absolutely zero basketball skill or ability. He's not good enough for the NBA. He's not good enough for the EuroLeague. He's not good enough to ever be on Greece's senior national team on his own merit.
At this point, he's made an entire career off of being Giannis' brother, and it's a ridiculous joke that Greece keeps him on the national team just to appease Giannis.
Thanasis = Andre Iguodala without any basketball ability, any basketball skill, and with an incredibly low basketball IQ.
He's by far the worst player of Panathinaikos.
