I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: ATL: Free Agency
From the end of the last thread...
There have always been reports about the tough training and work ethic the Heat has. Waiters and James Johnson going there and losing a ton of weight and all that..
I think that kind of culture has to appeal to Butler..

Confirming the idea that he is ready to just club for the rest of his career.

While researching this piece, agents named a handful of veteran players who specifically said they wouldn’t consider Miami in free agency because they heard the Heat practice more than other teams and expect guys to work extremely hard.
In Miami, we were all trying to make a name for ourselves so it was competitive and we were all ready to work hard. We had sayings like, ‘No fake gym rats,’ ‘No excuses,’ and, ‘Always get one percent better.’ If you came to the gym, it wasn’t to make an appearance so the coaches can see you. You’re coming to get better.

Not sure if I want Kawhi in TOR or LAL. In LAL, it makes our journey to the Finals easier. But if we get there, and face LA...yikes.
Going to the LAC would be ideal, but it sounds like that isn't happening now.

Love that we helped Tim Frazier get a guaranteed 2 million on the 2nd day of free agency. Last training camp cut 9 months ago.

Iggy is going to be cut by Memphis and will sign with Lakers
Danny Green is planning on signing with Lakers
Rondo was offered the league min. and has 24 hrs to decide
That team, barring injury is going to destroy everyone

Re: ATL: Free Agency
If he goes to the Lakers to be Lebron and AD's buddy then I've given up trying to understand how Kawhi's brain works. Dude just Alpha'd his team to a championship and now he wants to go be in Lebron's shadow? What's the appeal here?

Three of the, what, top six guys in the league on one team? Will be interesting to see if any blowback on Kawhi for this. I suspect not but it’s arguably worse than KD joining the warriors. That team will dominate.

Will be fun when 90% of 3rd party fans will be backing us in the finals the next three years.

I'm not mad at kawhi. He's not ring chasing. It was probably down to clippers and Lakers since he wanted to go home. Then chose Lakers because they have two superstars. People comparing it to kd are flat out wrong. Kawi already had rings.

Re: ATL: Free Agency
If Leonard goes West, there really won’t be much competition next 2 years besides philly and Horford is getting older. No young future MVPs creeping up yet. Next years free agent class might be worst than this years buyout class. We might have had the second best off season by default.

Kawhi to the Lakers seems weird to me from everything we know from Kawhi, but at the same time weird is expected. Wasn't the whole point of leaving SA was so he could be the man in a bigger city?
