KOQ for the min is a huge pickup. Rescinding the rights to Pasceniks is hilarious, just because they traded (more than) the pick they got back for Fultz for him.

Overall, Philly had a ton of sunk costs. And they made the best of it (minus Tobias). I'm surprised.

Hinkie knew he wouldn't survive and needed to stash extra assets as a cushion for the incompetence that was to follow. He truly saw everything.

The scary part is that the Colangelo crew didn't see themselves as incompetent.

i personally do but theres still good contingency of laker fans who want him back at min, i prefer not....he really is a low iq player, he can shoot but whatever defensive rep he got from his det day clearly hasnt transferred to la.

I have to ask. Did KCP ever fit into the Lakers scheme? Or at least had a good chemistry with his teammates. A lot of it including the culture can play a role on whether or not a player can fit with his team and be effective towards wining games.

probably not...felt like he wanted to put up stats over doing little things to win gms but he never complained bout his smaller role last yr n didn't cause locker room issues, i just prefer not to have him back

If it's the 2020 Cavs 2nd the Hornets own going out I think the team would have to think about this. They're going to be too bad to be trading away their own 1st though. I think the Cavs 2020 2nd should be going to the Lakers with Monk to the Raptors.

I believe Sacto pulled it to make him a UFA though. He sort of whined about wanting a fresh start and they said "okay, go for it".

Sacto could still S&T him though as they do have his FBR's.

Unless you're a likely future all-star it is a terrible idea for RFAs to not sign with the team that has their rights. I don't understand why agents encourage players to do it, they're doing them a terrible disservice.

If the team they play for can't or won't sign them to a decent extension then the agent needs to push for their client to be traded to a team that will pay them. You don't wait till the beginning of free agency to pull something like this.
