Mediocre player who owns your favorite team?

Post#1 » by cmaff051 » Thu Aug 23, 2007 12:12 am

Who is that mediocre player on another team who always plays over his head when he plays your favorite team?

I'm a Yankee fan, and the answer is obvious: Garrett Anderson. Corey Patterson is an honorable mention

Vernon Wells.
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."

He's not mediocre, he's actually pretty terrible but for some reason Jack Wilson owns the Brewers.

Odd; I was thinking the same thing, but he only has an .837 OPS against the Sox.

Take any mediocre player in baseball, put him in an A's uniform, and he'll destroy the Mariners.

Pat Burrell isn't mediocre, but he seems to murder the Cubs. At least the past few years.

that's strange....cause with how he played against us last year...I was expecting a 1.590 OPS or something.

A couple that come to mind for the Cubs:

Javier Valentin (Reds)
Rob Mackowiak (when he was on PIT)
