Hell yea. That’s who we were referring to as Chalmers btw, not sure if that was known.

Kid is stupid quick and has some swag to him.

Leading vote getter for 2 way slot as of now (Yante didn’t play so cant count, Duncan on the 15)

Yante's two-way contract was converted to a partially guaranteed standard deal (along with Duncan's) back in April.

It’s just disappointing that in 2019 we’ve got such blatant racism on display, to define a group of people solely by their skin color and stereotype. Shame on you. If any poster wrote the exact same thing but switched out the word white for black I would report them immediately to mods. So to be fair, I reported your post as well. All racism is wrong and we should never judge anybody by the color of their skin, come on man.

People are so soft these days. Im gonna report you for that. Grow a pair.

Yeah, it is so “soft“ to find it repulsive that there are people that define other people solely by the color of their skin and make generalizations and stereotypes about said skin color. How “soft“ of me. It’s not acceptable to write it about a black player, Asian player, Hispanic player or white player. Let’s stop defining people by the color of their skin, it’s not something anyone has any control over anyway and start judging people by what kind of people they actually are, their character.

Then delete the racist post and there will be nothing to talk about. Intellectual honesty time: if he wrote the exact same thing but switched out the word black for white, would that post still be there? You know the answer. So why is his post still there?

You honestly seem like a pretty cool dude and a cool poster and you seem to have a great attitude. And believe me, I am not the overly sensitive type at all. But it just saddens me to see people write stuff that reduces other people down their skin color. At the end of the day, we’re all just people.

Wenyen Gabriel balled out today for Kings. I really wanted him when he went undrafted. Bams buddy. Was extremely talented but raw. One day.

gundysmullet is right, but I doubt this is a great forum to educate about racism. I have tried. White people were invented. It's a social construct. Not so long ago the n-word was used for Irish people too. It's been used by the powerful to reduce the minorities, and there are plenty of other ways we see racism during the normal course of the day. It's not all Germans measuring skulls in concentration camps in Namibia. In England, I've heard it applied to people from the subcontinent and Arabians. So, yeah, America has no monopoly on racism. Travel and you learn how relative it all is.

My favorite racist thing in the NBA is bbiq. People with lighter skin almost always get cast as having high bbiq. Otherwise how can they compete against all the savage black and brown natives?

Spoiler:
I have a story that illustrates the problem. My wife has an uncle who tells stupid racist jokes. Every family has one I think, and hers is this obnoxious lawyer with a cushy government job, taking three months of vacation every year, works 4-6 hours a day, and has a salary of 30 minimum salaries (figure about $8000 a month, which is a ton of money in Brazil). He cheers for Fluminense too, and Heatlanta will tell you this is a team of the upper class. Believe me, he fits the bill: owns two apartments, one in Copacabana, which is near a morro (favela), the other overlooking the beach near São Conrado.

Her aunt (his wife) used to be so hot but she got a ton of anxiety attacks because he was always sleeping with girls half her age, so she became anorexic like a speed freak and her beauty faded along with her self-confidence. She would be drop-dead gorgeous if she took care of herself, but... and it sucks because she's a good woman, still in love with him too, good wife and mother. So, yeah, I'm not a fan of this dude, and yeah, I did watch that woman's butt shaking her samba. Damn.

But yeah, anyway, so he's on and on about this neguinha and that crioulo and so forth, talking about cuckoldry and so forth, because black dudes have nothing else to do but bang white wives for their cucky husbands (I swear that was half his jokes.) On and on, all these stereotypes, as if his life's education is porn, but remember he's a lawyer, works for the government, has to represent all students (men and women, every shade of skin imaginable because... it's tough to explain to Americans but miscegenation is pretty much the rule in Brazil.) So yeah... what a useless mf.

But here's the thing... This was right after the St. Louis riots a few years ago, so America's racial harmony difficulties were hung up like laundry hanging from our clotheslines for the world to see. You know so the neighbor can see the lace camisole your wife uses to give you a massage. Where was I?

So, he's criticising Americans about our race relations. And he said something like, if I were American I would just return everything to how it used to be before the civil rights movement... you know, sundown towns, lynchings and the rest? Black people have it so good, and they don't appreciate their progress. Etc. You can imagine by this time I'm pissed off, but he explained it is the only solution. Otherwise, he said, there won't be any safe white cities for people like him, in case he wants to grab all his money and escape to America.

And I said... you mean you want to go to where darker people are not allowed? And he said, "yes, yes, you see now."

So I nodded and told him, "You do realize in America many people will think you are black, right?" And, no, I didn't win the argument. He spent the rest of the night saying how much whiter he was than everyone else... Dumbass...

Anyway, long story to make the point. Racism is stupid. White guys can shoot, so can black, yellow, red, and brown dudes. White guys have no monopoly on bbiq. Just stop with the bs, and don't be that guy.

Herro looked good tonight. It's a good start. It's summer league. I'm not convinced of anything yet. That Lakers team was garbage.

Best news of the day was the pick protection. I swear I knew that pick was gone as soon as Dallas dropped out.

I don't know about you but i did not see no Kyle Korver, I saw a D.Booker type shooter.

The kid can definitely handle some, for a 19 YO he showed enough handle to be optimistic about minutes at PG down the line. His passing instincts look really good to me, He's not your typical Scoring SG with tunnel vision. He made the right pass almost every time.

Add that to a ton of confidence and obvious inner fire, And I'm loving his potential. Kid got balls, can't teach that.

But but wingspan

Wingspan is an issue. You can see it defensively and when he has to shoot in the paint and pass over longer players. That is where the wingspan is a concern. Never said it will hamper him from shooting.
I think we've got enough, defensively, to mask some of his defensive shortcomings. You can't teach what this kid has. He can shoot from anywhere, handle the rock, and had insane confidence. He's going to be very good. He, Butler, and Winslow will end up as our starters barring unforeseen circumstances (trade or injury).

I like what I see from him...

Good morning fellas.

First off pelifan, a little racist to call Herro a tool. Very insensitive of you in 2019.

Next, I guess I can never sleep again. I go to sleep for 6 hours and come back and a new guy is reporting my friends. Sheesh.

Onto basketball, can’t wait until we play again. Herro is so fun. For a Kapono/Stauskus/McDermott level player he’s pretty damn swaggy :D

Racism is horrible and sad that we cant see past the color on ones skin.

How did Herro look on defense, all the other non shooting things he can do? I get its the summer team so its nothing to be overly excited about but at least it shows he can be productive.
