Boogie gets squeezed again...

And there are still people out there who would argue he's better than Favors for example... or hell... even better than Gobert.

People have real hard time evaluating competitiveness and defense and massively overvalue the things that are easiest to see - offensive skillset.

I’m willing to bet every pelican that played with cousins, is going to say Favors is a much better teammate. On and off the court.

Evidently the nephew of lakers owner Jeanie Buss made a burner account and said Leonard is for sure going to the lakers. I hope it’s fake news, the NBA would be better if he stays in the east.

I'd like to take a chance on Noah Vonleh at PF with our veteran's minimum. He's not terrible and is still young enough to improve. He may be able to get an offer for more money elsewhere, but one negotiation advantage we have is that we are probably one of the only locations he could go with a chance to start games.

Interesting, Bradley showed me once again tonight that he doesn't have a future in the NBA....

I didn't see much from Bradley that makes me feel he's worth an NBA roster spot. Yes, he had a bunch of rebounds against inferior players, most of which are simply because he doesn't have any skill away from the basket, therefore is near the rim at all times. He does look little more lean & agile, but still slow & unathletic. Funny thing is, even when Jazz coaches & insiders are asked about him, all they can say is that "he's worked on his body" and "he's the youngest guy on the summer league team". Deflecting comments, if you ask me. Not much to report that says he'll be worthy of any PT in the big boy league.

That's actually very good news. I'm no Exum fan, but he does have upside. Since we're not moving him now, I hope he comes back and helps out the defense. Would love to see him turn into a stopper on the floor for us for a solid full season.

Harden and Curry stopper

Yes, if nothing else, Exum is a long, quick defender, which the Jazz need in order to keep their identity as a defensive team.

It's also why I want them to grab a PF who can defend PF's to round out the roster. Again, a long, athletic guy, like Voleh, or even better a tough, defensive "stopper" like Stanley Johnson, would be ideal, IMO.

I've been betting on him going to LA since his meeting was scheduled. I think he's probably just twisting their arm for the roster he wants, the medical staff he wants, and the load management expectation he wants, before he signs the deal and loses all leverage.

Rondo? (30) / ??? (18)
Leonard (16) / Danny Green? (24) / ??? (8)
Kuzma (16) / Leonard (16) / Iguodala? (16) / Korver?
James (32) / Kuzma (16)
Davis (34) / McGee? (14) / Chandler? / Pau?

We have to start Bogie/Ingles at the 4 dont we?
We cant possibly be starting Ed Davis or a minimum contract right? Vonleh as a starter??

We'll see. I hope we bring back Thabo and he can turn back the clock. But it's a pretty serious hole in the roster.

Vonleh to Wolves. Should have been one of our targets. What about RHJ?

Cauley-Stein takes just above minumum for the Warriors.

I'm telling you all, this year, playoff teams are going big at the 4 spot. Green, Looney, Cauley-Stein will be their big man rotation.

None of the cheap guys are coming here. GRIII and Vonleh signing for minimums.

I think Marcus Morris would be a great fit at the 4, but don't think we can afford him without moving Exum. I think we need to go for it all next 2 years even if that means trading future picks to make us contenders now.

Read on Twitter

With Jeff Green, we look better.

We're down to the 15th roster spot, (if all 3 rookies make the roster).

I want a high energy 4 like Manimal on the roster if we can't get Thabo as our 15th guy. Would you rather try for Neto?

I don't see a need for another big at this point. I think Brantley will make the team. I would take Neto for sure if he wants to come back. Otherwise, I'd be looking for one more shooter. Maybe Nik Stauskas?

Ok, I'll just say it. Jimmer for the minimum. Better shooter than Stauskas and defense isn't much worse.

I think that they might have used their BAE on him as it was reported he was getting more than the min which is all the Jazz could have offered.

Jeff Green at the vet min is a decent get.

I love the Jeff green move. He’ll play a similar role as crowder imo. What position do you guys think we need to add depth to? I say we need a combo guard that can shoot. Is there anyone left for the vet min that can do that?
