He's taking the most money unless he tries to repeat if Kawhi resigns.

Hayward's deal is shorter than Love's so they can clear out their cap space sooner than anticipated. Love would provide some of what Al gave to us, minus the defense, obviously & we can give all the wing minutes to Brown & Tatum, balancing our roster a bit.
Walker / Smart
Brown / Langford
Tatum / Ojeleye
Love / Williams
Williams / Kanter

Preach brother. Feel the same way. Only ones who think super teams are cool are casual fans and fans of the team that got the super team.
It's just a different world these days. I'm a young person by age but sometimes feel like an old man when I read how someone like KD can't wrap his head around why people are not in awe of him joining the best team in the league and winning the tittle with little to no resistance. Does he realize that legends are made when you're tested and have to push it to the limit to break through?
Instant gratification era made people taking shortcuts a norm, while persevering and leaving yourself with the option to fail is considered foolish. Nowitzki winning in Dallas > all of these 'lets group up and win without ever being tested'. But 'kids' will say, he only got one, Lebron GOAT.
Unfortunately, it's like that in real life as well. Everything is not 100% perfect for you? Dump your gf/wife and move on. Why compromise and try to make it work?
When you say this you sound salty, but I really don't want another season in which, unless a miracle happens, we know the winner. But fools like me don't matter, this is entertainment and bottom line is the most important thing. Super teams are money making machines and the league will not do anything to stop them.
It sucks because it is the Lakers, and KD's will always be a beta move, but don't we have something like 15 titles from Celtic super teams? What about the Red Sox?

I guess you don't make a difference between GSW' team that included Curry, Klay and Green, OKC's team that had Russ, KD and Harden, old C's teams etc.. from the ones who are made by colluding and involved literally zero sound basketball decisions.
Maybe the difference isn't important and shouldn't matter, but to me it does. If a team makes smart decisions in terms of cap management, drafting etc.. and organically builds an amazing team, I'm cool with that.
Otherwise, why do the draft and all other transactions even matter when all it takes is for 2 or 3 top 10 guys to sit on a banana boat and say 'lets go to Miami'.
It used to be: 'Well, the team I'm on has a terrible FO so I had to leave to get a chance to win'. Now these guys are leaving good and even great situations (KD in OKC, 50+ win every year, KL just won a freaking ring) to form 'can't' lose scenarios and that alone trumps everything any smart team can do.
So basically, having connections with powerful agencies and be placed in a city with great weather = having a dynasty.

The Lakers are rumored to pursue him (and others) in the event they don't sign Kawhi and decide to split their max slot between multiple players. Plus, he might follow Kawhi regardless. He's probably waiting for that situation to sort itself out.

I definitely would like the signing if true, but I haven't seen anything outside that Euro tweet. Nothing from the U.S. confirming it. I hope it's true, though.
