Holy ambidextrous batman - that Poirier lefty hook is beautiful. I wouldn't hate Kanter getting 20-25 minutes a game at center and splitting up the rest between Timelord and Poirier. I would guess it signals the end of Theis here, but who knows. I seem to be in the minority in liking Theis but tough to see how him, Kanter, Timelord, and Poirier could all get minutes. And I think it's safe to assume Kanter came here w/ the understanding that he would be starting or getting starter minutes.

There it is.

Now renounce Theis immediately and get a serviceable big who isn't 6'9" and built like a twig.

Theis simply can't defend physical bigs.

Give me one of Cousins/Noah/Nene in his place....preferably Cousins.

Theis is our only big who can shoot 3's if needed to spread the floor.

I'm excited to have 3 guys who pick and roll or dive off the pick and roll/pop action from the other side of the court instead of always popping to the 3 line. Last year teams knew we wouldn't dive or roll. Easier to defend. WE now have a top pick and roll pg and some top pick and roll bigs. Get threes for your wings and pg when the d collapses, not the bigs shooting them all.

Look at the rockets, they shoot open 3's and the bigs dont take them.

I guess rumors about Theis going back to Europe are true. French dude is his replacement.

We have Kanter if we want a Center to take low percentage 3's.

If we're relying on Theis to stretch the floor, we're f*cked. Get Cousins if that's the plan.

For the league minimum as reported by Smitty. Good deal for the Celtics.

I'm calling this guy Vinny P.

I'm gonna butcher the spelling of that last name otherwise.

My source was right then haha. He has told me to tell you that "in the Spanish league few people knew about Poirier's signing, so it was even more difficult to believe it"

Theis can't guard the Embiid's of the world and he struggled down the stretch of the season. I don't know what happened, but he became pretty much unplayable.

He can shoot though. 38% from three last year.

I’ve said it a million times, there needs to be one major max contract per team that is worth 40-45% of the cap with the next highest contract being no higher than 20-25%. Still allow teams to keep their drafted players at any price to reward good drafting. Unfortunately my suggestion wouldn’t have stopped KD to the Warriors but whatever. That was incredible management; I can’t fault them for that. This would prevent whatever is going on with the Lakers, though.

It wasn't incredible management....it was total idiocy on the part of the league allowing a huge increase in the cap in just one year rather than phasing it in.

Like I said, Theis got abused constantly against taller/large body bigs. Embiid eat him alive. So did KAT.

Theis embarrassed himself both times we played the Timberwolves.

This might be silly, but I still really want to resign Theis. Except I want all of his minutes to come at the 4.

Theis was coming back from offseason surgery last year and rehabbing all summer. He was better his rookie year. MOst the time last year him playing ment me screaming at the tv. But, i'd give him another shot just like Hayward to have a healthy offseason. Maybe get his lift back. He can shoot from 3 much better than Kanter.

So I follow the barber of Theis and a bunch of other C's players and I remember a few weeks back seeing an IG story with Theis and some reference to a German team this upcoming year. I didn't think much of it because I assumed it was just a team he supported back home but maybe he really is going back to playing in Germany? Wish I screen shotted.

I like Theis at the 4 as well, but I don't think we have roster spots left after signing Poirier?

Theis can move his feet on defense and switch. Cousins you have to have a special "I can't move at all" defense like for Tacko.
