I like Theis. If he played this year little bit more he would be bigger international star. God willing he has great year.

I tend to agree with this. Of all our bigs, he's the longest tenured. He knows Brad's schemes the most. Not that that's saying much.

FUN FACT: in 261 possessions, the four-man lineup of Brown-Tatum-Hayward-Theis scored 116.5 points per 100 possessions and limited opponents to 95.8 points per 100 possessions. That net rating of 20.6 pts/100 poss and defensive rating are both in the 99 percentile among four-man lineups w/ at least 100 possessions.

I think a significant % of those possessions came in that 54 point win against the Bulls. The Bulls bench, actually because that was the game the Bulls coach decided to bench the entire starting lineup for lack of effort 5 minutes in to the 3rd quarter.

Were u ever in the old garden? Lol that place was a dump. Historic but a dump. Never been to the new one but that hallway u posted with Theis looks like a billion dollars compared to the old place lol

So the C's now have three real centers -- in Kanter, Poirier, and Williams -- who can't shoot the 3.
Brad's gonna need to adjust. (Either that or he's gonna wear out Theis.)

On the other hand, they all can rebound, so his team has likely switched a weakness to a strength.

He kinda did it before when he only had Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller. Although Olynyk played some Center.

Yeah--when Danny was intentionally tanking the team!

I think he had a bad season last year due to his foot injury. Kind of just got lost in the shuffle. I expect him to bounce back and show us more of what he showed us in 2017-18.

...and yet the team had elite offense and defense when he was on the floor with our three wings. For role players, I'll take team impact over individual performance any day.

That's fair, but they of course had to be careful about what centers they were putting him up against.

Theis was pretty damn bad last year. Could be the injury, but every team he was out there it felt like he was handing out free and 1’s and really didn’t do much of anything offensively. He was solid that first year so if he ever gets back to that level, that would be nice.

Okay, yes, it was the year after they landed IT. But Amir was not only playing PF most of the year (with KO at center for most of his minutes), but Amir also shot more than 10% of his shots from 3--he just wasn't very good at it.
