I have not, but would assume they would have probably the best read on the kid?

Boston sports fans are notoriously hard on players. I say that as a Red Sox fan who doesn't like any other Boston team, but also as one who has friends who are Boston sports fans. Their players are good when "Boston" is on the jersey and awful when it isn't.

Name the last Boston player (any sport) that was traded/left who didn't get dragged through the mud on their way out. Rozier has his warts for sure but this is the standard operating procedure for a sizeable portion of Boston fans/media: hype them through the roof while they're here, curse them as trash when they leave.

Unless you're an absolute legend (Brady/Bird) or brought them a title (KG, Pierce) you're getting dragged as soon as you're not one of theirs. Even Horford is getting torn up ('overpay, too old, nothing left in the tank, didn't want him anyway') when just yesterday that same fan base was hyped that Horford was coming back and Kemba/Horford was going to be easily better than Kyrie/Horford.

Whatever Boston fans say about players has literally zero meaning to me. Their perception of things couldn’t be more skewed. They have no idea how lucky they’ve been with all of their franchises championships. Ugh.

Rozier game log in 2018 playoffs

Points-Assists- Rebounds

Milwaukee
Game 1 23-3-4
Game 2 23-8-3
Game 3 9-9-2
Game 4 10-8-5
Game 5 16-5-3
Game 6 16-5-7
Game 7 26-9-6

Philadelphia
Game 1 29-6-8
Game 2 20-9-7
Game 3 18-3-7
Game 4 11-2-8
Game 5 17-2-6

Cleveland
Game 1 8-8-6
Game 2 18-2-6
Game 3 13-2-3
Game 4 16-11-6
Game 5 8-6-6
Game 6 28-7-3
Game 7 4-4-4

Needs to add consistency, but at times last year in the playoffs he was a problem.

Had a bad showing in game 7 vs Cavs, but I’m fine with that because he gained experience. How many players have even played for Charlotte that have even played in a game 7 of Conference Finals?

He also shot better last year as a starter which is bizarre. Not only considering going up against second units but also playing alongside Kyrie who is a pretty decent facilitator.

His FT rate was still abysmal which is pretty much confirms what I've seen out of him in my limited viewing. He doesn't have the explosiveness or moves to get by guys so he settles for clanky jumpers. Which is why I don't even think he's anywhere near Schroeder. :( But of course, he thinks he's better than Kyrie.

But whatever. I'm done crapping on the guy. Hopefully, he can get us to be at non-embarassing.

Scary Terry: The Terry Rozier Thread

I vote Scary Terry: his nickname offers the perfect double entendre for the potential up- and down- side risks of adding Rozier to this roster.

Might be better than Kemba. He lead the Celtics to the ECF while Kyrie was hurt and 1 game away from beating LeBron to get into the Finals.

The more tape of this guy I watched I realized he may actually be good for us.
He plays better D then Kemba and runs the break better. He takes care of the ball really well.
But, he isn’t as good a shooter and I could see him becoming a total negative if he lets the selfish junkyard dog side dominate.
Hopefully, we get his best efforts and attitude, if that happens he may prove to be a real asset.

Kemba has already written an article, spoken to ESPN, etc.

Nothing stopping Rozier

He was partying at the club Sunday night lol.

But nah as others have said it's formality and stuff right now. I'm sure he'll have a press conference once all the deals officially go through.

Kemba was special off the court and on. I really don't expect Terry to fill those shoes.

That said, the might be better than Kemba statement does have at least a remote possibly of being able to be true. I see a lot of people here who seem to just assume that Rozier is going to be bad or that the team should be drafting a replacement for Kemba instead of giving him a shot. I think that's a mistake. Terry could grow into the role of franchise PG here.

So, yeah, it might not work out for any number of reasons too. But I'm going to see how the team looks in pre-season and the first few regular season games before I judge.
