I like the size we have in the backcourt now with O'Neale, Exum, and Mudiay.
Green helps too.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

We had a killer starting five and now we might have the deepest team in the league. My favorite part is Kawhi delaying is probably what helped us get these guys today. Thanks Kawhi.

Conley (32) / Mudiay (16) / Wright-Foreman
Mitchell (34) / O'Neale (14) / Exum [until we see if he can play]
Bogdanovic (32) / Ingles (12) / O'neale (4) / Oni
Green (24) / Ingles (16) / Niang (8) / Brantley (rooting for him to make the rotation)
Gobert (32) / Davis (16) / Bradley

Damn, we are killing it this year. If we can stay healthy I really think this is our year. We are deep! Right when I say we need a guard, bam, we get one. One with size too

Re: Future Free Agent Thread
Looks like we have another guy in mind, but giving the 2nd rounders a chance in SL
1. Gobert
2. Davis
3. Bradley
4. Green
5. Niang
6. Bogdanovic
7. Ingles
8. O'Neale
9. Mitchell
10. Exum
11. Conley
12. Mudiay
Three spots left. Personally, I'd go for a shooter, sign Brantley, and then pick one of Oni/JWF.
13. Stauskas
14. Brantley
15. Oni/JWF

I say we get a shooter or resign Thabo to a vet min if he’ll except it. Both would be preferred, but I’m not trying to get greedy!

2 of our 2nd rounders could get 2way deals.

He put up great numbers tonight. I know it’s just the first game in summer league but maybe he grows and improves his game as summer goes on. I’ll get a better idea of is true potential when I’m sitting lower bowl for tomorrow’s gamestickets were cheap, so why the hell not? Another idea, not too many people would be ecstatic about this idea, but what if we got Demarcus cousins? If he’s still available and we get him for a good deal, he can really be an asset. He seams to be more humble and calm since his injuries. Coach Quin would keep him in check along with Mike Conley. I think he’s worth the risk!
Jazz have vet mins to give out at this point, not enough for Boogie Cousins.
Have fun at the game. If I lived in the area, I would be going too. If the draftees do significantly better tomorrow, you'll be our official good luck charm.
I mean, since I’ve been here at the game we’ve signed Jeff green and Emmanuel Mudiay lol

So stoked now! These are all really good pick-ups! WE COULD GO ALL THE WAAAAAAY!!!!
Well unless the Lakers sign Kawhi.
Really not looking forward to all the superstar calls that team is going to get next year.

We aren't even remotely close to being the deepest team in the league. The is clearly the nugs with Morris, Beasley, Barton, Plumlee, Porter, Hernangomez and Vanderbilt.Daddy 801 wrote:Luigi wrote:Daddy 801 wrote:Just got Mudiay as well. Bam.

Really good point regarding the Kawhi delay. I guess I've been looking at it all wrong, thinking it just points to the new Laker Juggernaut.
And who said free agents don't want to play in Utah. Oh yeah that's right Mr. Lazy Pants, Dennis Lindsey.

Even if Kawhi goes to Lakers I don't see them as dominant as GSW were. Gobert has always played AD well, Bogie is probably the best defender on Lebron, and Ingles takes on Kawhi. Then you have Conley and Mitchell just owning the other two.

You sir are the voice of reason or possibly optimism, but either way you got me shaking my head in agreement.

We are a hell of a lot deeper than I was envisioning at the beginning of the week, but I agree, I don't think we even come close to cracking top 5 in depth.

I say offer Cousins and Thabo vet min. What’s the worst that can happen, they say no. I think they would want to be apart of an actual contender in the NBA. Especially for a city that has never won a championship.

Also, if Memphis waives Korver, do you guys think he’s worth it to pickup. There aren’t that many knock down shooters left, and he’s probably better than any option we have for the amount we can get him for.

I think Korver retires and comes back to Utah as a shooting coach

That would be awesome. His first assignment can be Exum.
