Rumors and speculation aside, and honestly this thread needs more basketball conversation, If Kawhi doesn't go to the Lakers, I'd say the league has more parity.

The east is WIDE open.

Milwaukee might do great, but we exposed them in the playoffs. Philly lost Jimmy and JJ. Pacers got Brogdon, Oladipo is coming back. Nets don't have KD but they got Kyrie and did well last year.

Meanwhile in the west, the Warriors are going to be super interesting to watch. I wonder how Houston chemistry issues will be next season, as everyone must be pissed off they where about to be traded. OKC might actually do well, and Portland just got Hassan Whiteside.

If the Lakers don't get Kawhi we're looking at a really interesting situation. If the Clippers get Kawhi, wow.

Denver and Utah look like the clear front runners

That's actual parity.

Maybe the Raptors winning the championship brought more parity in the league?

I definitely think raps brought more parity to the league. Showed everyone you don't need a bunch of superstars to win a chip. The league is wide open. If Lakers dont get kawhi i doubt they'll even make the playoffs this year and with us signing Kawhi I got us locked down for taking the east ( although you cant count out philly or the bucks ). I got denver and utah playing in the WCF both teams are stacked rn. I still think GS can surprise alot of people despite everyone thinking they wont do ****. Leagues gonna be fun to watch this year. Just cant stand the thought of Kawhi joining the Lakers

I think that's kind of false though. Kawhi is special in that he's a superstar on defense and offense. Very few players like that. Maybe only Paul George really. And the raps were filled with solid defenders too. So it's still easier just to form a super team ala GSW or Miami and overpower teams with your Offense
