Re: Official Kawhi Watch Part 7: Speculation & Rumors
Almost every Lebron team ends in turmoil and drama though. And while their big 3 is great, an injury to one of them would decimate them. And not winning would bring a level of scrutiny he could not imagine...and credit for winning would only ever go to Lebron. I dont get it, but whatevs if he does it.

Come on kawhi don't do this to us
What? We don't have room to sign any remaining FA... him waiting this long is actually screwing over the Lakers since they have like 5 players on their roster, assuming he doesn't sign there.
So if he doesn't stay we wouldn't have $ to sign anybody?
No, we are well over the cap.

They just played a full season together and won a championship. There's nothing left to be done on that front.

ESPN is in the business of getting American clicks and viewership. Of course, they're going to play up the Lakers. What do you guys expect?

The Raptors are already over the cap.

Basically Danny Green and maybe MLE but that's it. Also, there is no one really that good left to sign...

Yeah our players are just too damn Respectful. Everyone saying the 'We'll respect his space and decision".
To me, with a player this calibre, you don't say something like that. You wanna make it seem like he's the king and that you never wanna see him go.
Of course, doing all that could still mean nothing, especially if he has his eyes dead set on LA anyways. But still...I dont like how the Raps players went about this.
Just my opinion

There are virtually no players of value left on the market.
Cousins and IGGY aren’t cutting it.
Iggy is such a massive get. Depth at that wing spot that can play great defence. Take the burden off of kawhi (if) and lebron
The other targets should be imo (regardless of kawhi)
Tj McConnell
Trey Burke
Both Morris brothers
Rhj
Pau gasol/ nene/ Amir johnson if any of them have anything left
Norvell jr ( on summer league squad)
Davis / old guys / morrissess
Lebron/ Morris / Morris
Kuzma/ iggy/ rhj
Leonard / Norvell
McConnell/ Burke
Edit (forgot kuzma like a dumb dumb)

No. We’re over the cap either way

I wish we just accepted he was going to lakers. All evidence points to this. Not a shred of evidence for raptors

Cris Carter clarifying that Lakers is 100% his opinion of what he thinks is best, not something he's heard from Kawhi's camp

There are two reasons Kawhi should stay;
1. We treated him well.
2. We believe he's not the type of guy to create a super-team.
Literally everything else points to the Lakers.
Weather, endorsement exposure, winning going forward, it's a historic franchise, you get to tap into some of the greatest players to ever play the game for advice, I could go on.
We've experienced over and over again that people who aren't born here, really don't care to play here for a long duration of their careers unfortunately.
The guy’s 26. The talk about him needing to play home is silly to me. There’s four teams in California, he’ll have plenty of opportunity to “go home”.
