Take this for what it’s worth, and sorry I can’t name names, but in talking to a rival executive, I was told Boston would have traded Horford for Poirier the last two years if he had been available.

Sounds like something a Sixers executive would say just before bursting with laughter

Not bad

Yep a good way to look at it.

What do we do the 2nd half? :)

If only Brad had any kind of fouling strategy. Aside from Hack-a-Shaq, I don't think he ever uses fouls as a strategic tool. He's even said as much. Doesn't go at players in foul trouble, and doesn't attack the paint when team's are in the bonus. He also leaves our own guys in games with foul trouble.
I agree he is clueless. Also can't teach players to draw fouls. I wonder how many player on last Celtics team could make bank shots or simple hooks? I just do not see young Celtics players growing as all around basketball players. If pop was gifted the two Js he would be in the finals till the day he retired.

Yeah. That must be it. Ain't no good players over there. Except Giannis, Porzingis, Evan Fournier, Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Luka Doncic, Marc Gasol, Clint Capela, NiKola Vucevic, and Nikola Jokic. Maybe a few others. Austin Ainge, though, he just likes a European vacation.

It may have already been mentioned, but Poirier led the EuroLeague in rebounding this past season:

https://www.euroleague.net/main/statistics?mode=Leaders&entity=Players&seasonmode=Single&seasoncode=E2018&phasetypecode=RS%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&cat=TotalRebounds&agg=Accumulated

For comparison purposes, Jordan Mickey was 20th.

Poirier was also 14th in scoring average.

There’s always at least one guy who misses the joke. And then proceeds to take it personally on top of that

I'll give you that I missed the joke, but certainly didn't take it personally.

Ohh the irony!.....I suspect almost everyone here has been guilty of this a time or two....No big deal either way...

We all would do better if we can just lighten up...myself included...

Wish that would also transfer to the world in general...

They are actually 7 days apart.

VP has a October 17 birthday and is a Libra.

Now they'll be enemies.

Robert Williams AND Vincent share the same birthday. But Robert can celebrate any day really.

So looks like we're going with a beefy lob threat in Poirier, a quicker lob threat in Williams and a scorer in Kanter as the 3-headed center platoon. Gotta hope RWIII has made some defensive strides.
