I mean he's going to be the closet thing to David Lee we've seen in quite some time with maybe better man to man defense and less assists.
thats actually a great comparison. Not that Lee was a cookie, but Randle is definetly more physical down low. Im extremely excited about this signing. I think Randle will put up 24/9/3 on good efficiency. Hell be getting lots of opportunity and as others have pointed out he has maintained his efficiency with more usage so hes a guy who can see an uptick in scoring next year easily
Obviously Randle is much more of a bully, Lee was more finesse but both were smooth around the rim. Lee was able to finish with both hands, Randle is definitely dominant with his left. Both could stretch the floor some, both improving with each passing year. Both could run the offense in spurts, though Randle seems to be a little loose with the turnovers at times.
Randle needs to prove he can actually have an impact on winning basketball, last year playing next to Okafor/Diallo/Davis really didn't provide much chances last year. He's going to get stats, but the question is can Robinson help mask some of his weaknesses and can Robinson actually show off some range on his shot that he allegedly has to allow Randle room to operate.
Whether you want to call him a Zach Randolph with hops, David Lee, insert whatever comparison you want, he needs to actually prove he can impact winning basketball much like all the others that he's compared to.
