My feeling is he decided he wanted to be a laker in 2018 and nothing has changed even winning a championship with the raptors. I know he knows where he wants to go but he’s just milking this at the height of his fame. Lebron and Durant did exactly the same thing. I remember reports saying Durant is torn apart choosing between teams in the end lol...

Then they couldn't give Rozier half of the contract they did. So perhaps it was us doing Rozier a favor, and effectively ourselves one by tying up their cap space in Rozier.

He certainly wanted to be a Laker in 2018. He asked for a trade there. The real question is whether or not a the end of the day, he is more like Anthony Davis or Kevin Durant or just someone in between those two. Kevin Durant didn't want to play with Lebron at all. Flat out strongly implied it if not said it since he just didn't want the scrutiny that comes with that. KD wants to be considered better than Lebron so why add to the guys ring count. Lebron has a bunch of sycophants in the media and Leonard may or may not mind the media attention off of him.

If someone like a 28 year old Ray Allen was on Lakers instead of Lebron, I would think it would be just about a lock that Leonard chooses Lakers over Clippers if he was going to LA. I don't think Leonard absolutely needs to be the sole star at all. I just think he needs to get enough of an opportunity to do his things and get recognized for it. Going to play with Lebron will obviously work from a winning perspective but there is a good chance one of the 3 players will be Chris Bosh'd and Leonard may not want that to be him.

Leonard if he 100% knew he wanted to be a Laker is just doing this for PR reasons not to stroke his own ego. His own ego was already stroked by helping Toronto to NBA championship. It would look terrible to not give Clippers and Raptors a chance... I can't blame the guy at all with how he has handled this so far.

Going to Clippers would be a very bold move since most fans in LA are obviously Lakers fans and he would be going up against Lebron/Davis.

Agree 100% that team is gonna kill the regular season. May get #1 seed. See a potential WCF birth. Deep, added some playmakers to a pretty bland roster

I like what they are doing, but I think they're lacking in talent. Depth is great for the regular season but doesn't mean much in the playoffs.

Boggoxondvic (nice pickup honestly, Jaylen Brown made him look like a Dleaguer in the playoffs tho)

That's a fine starting lineup. That's not winning much though. Kind of reminds me of a team molded in the Hawks 60 win team style.

It's well balanced with talent all around it just... doesn't seem to have that star you know? It sure will win a lot of regular season games though.

Yep, not handing them the title or anything. But, for not being a FA destination, they're having a pretty good summer.
