I hope Kawhi takes the time to carefully consider what he is doing. Why not just take the season off to really think about?

I hope he stays with the Raptors. I want a chance for us to build a team to topple them. Not for their star to puntkick them because maybe he has a better chance riding someone else's coattails.

I assume he is going to the Lakers. Any time there is a question of parity any star trying to decide always chooses the wrong choice. Miami and Celtics near even. Of course Ray goes to Miami. Oklahoma City and GSW near even of course Durant goes to the GSW. Chance at an open contest with tons of teams vying to be at the top? Not gonna happen.

Plus it's the Lakers. The league wants it. Remember when the Lakers traded their all-star center for seemingly no reason for a draft pick and then of course Shaq miraculously decides to go there. Then nobody picks Kobe because he says he'll refuse to report anywhere but LA? League had no problem with that. On the other hand Minnesota promises to re-sign Joe Smith at a better salary when his deal is up? League slammed Minnesota so hard it's a miracle that franchise even survived.

Wizards got to be trading Beal, Right?

Yeah i’d be shocked if he starts the season there. My money is on the clips, particularly if they get kawhi, which i think they do.

Harkless, shai, j. rob, thornell/wallace contracts, mia 2021 #1, other picks

Beverly/beal/leonard/gallinari/zubac
Lou/shamet/mcgruder/kabengele/harrell

I think we’re better position considering Brown & Smart are all better than those players you threw in that clippers package. I think someone like Lob Williams would be someone the Wizards would be highly interested in.

Dunno, shai looked pretty good starting on a playoff team as a rookie, and really good in that warriors series where they took two. Not tatum as a rookie good, but close

Wiz would need 1 of 2 things in deal. Wall cap relief or young player/assets

Laker fans are the worst who feel like they deserve Kawhi so I hope he lands anywhere else.

I hope Kawhi drags this out until September just to ruffle the feathers of all the entitled basketball fans who think players owe it to them to make quick decisions.

Kawhi doesnt need LeBron. LeBron needs Kawhi. Its Raptors or clippers. I think Raptors on 1 and 1.

Raps' victory parade: four people shot, others were likely injured in the resulting "stampede." Plus a baby died (no foul play observed but poor planning meant delayed medical assistance).

This is old news I guess but was new to me.

Why bring an infant to a 2 million person parade? What an awful tragedy. It’s certainly not something I would have done with the way things go down all the time in public now. I kept my daughter from going to Walmart until she was 4 months old.

If Kawhi does sign with Lakers, I think we would match up well against them. Lebron would be the most difficult individual matchup but our weak C rotation wouldn’t be such a liability. We would have a lot of talented bodies to throw at Kawhi. Similar to how our teams could hang with GSW. Of course, as currently constructed we would get swept by Bucks if we even made past first round.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Nah! If kawhi signs with the lakers, no team would have a chance of beating them in a series if healthy. How can we match up against them? Kemba, hayward, kanter and tatum at pf are all average defenders at best. Davis, kawhi and lebron all demand a double team. We have no chance against them. We have a better chance against the bucks if we can defend Giannis.

Brogdon was a huge loss to the Bucks. Huge. To me he was better than Middleton last season. I think that alone weakens them. Lopez is a chair. Giannis needs to shoot or else I aint afraid of them, tbh.. We still got Semi to guard Giannis if need be and Giannis was trying to get a switch when Semi was guarding him in last years playoffs. We could beat anyone if Kawhi leaves. Bothersome part about Giannis is the reffing.
Good assessment:

while they may not have a great iso playmaker for playoffs - the raptors beat them b/c we had a world class defense. anything less than that and giannis goes HAM. to beat them, you have to slow him down and we were the only team that really could. do you feel the celtics have the players to do that?

My preferences have always been:
1-99. Clippers - to turn the WC into a cluster **** of strong teams **** & draining each other, AND obviously to get a Top 3 player in the NBA out of the EC.
100. Raps
Infinity. The LA LeQueens w truly awesome baller but gutless immature pussy Brow - which would totally distort & **** the NBA, & give those scumbags a real shot at passing us in Banners.

I can live with the Raps.
