Now that we have a real pass first pg and have added a few snipers and players that look to pass

How many PPG does Ayton average this upcoming season?

depends on his motor this upcoming year....if he continues to play like the opposite of a bully and walks on the court still in soft mode imma say 18 to 19...

if he mans up and comes into the season motivated high motor bully type of big man i really can see 24-25 PPG

He has the tools to be a top center in the league..

Not THAT crazy after not making the playoffs for 9 years and continually getting worse and coming off a 19 win season.

I think low 20's. My hope for him next season is to not just be a 20/10 guy but also be a 1.5-2bpg player and start shooting 3's. But I'm pretty confident with a renewed focus on Ayton's offense, the addition of a true playmaker in Rubio and the added shooting to spread the floor, Ayton should very easily average at least 18ppg and low 20's should be where he gets to.

If Pekovic can average 17 points a game with Rubio and Ayton averaged 16 points with no PG, I’d say Ayton with Rubio could average 35 points a game. Since that’s not an option I just picked 22-23 to be safe. :)

Definitely 35 if Nash was still here

18 or so

You'd hope his scoring usage stabilizes under 25% because the biggest upside for Ayton and the team is his playmaking. I was kinda floored to see 48% of his assists were 3P buckets which translated to a massive 2.53 assist PPP (!).

IMO the main goal is boosting his half court assist rate from roughly 10.5% to around 14% and a > 1.25 assist : tov rate

I'm going to say 21.2. we have a no defense team, so the opponent will score at will n quick. So we'll get the ball back n Ayton n Booker will get theirs. Even if oubre is here he'll score 18. Booker will probably stay about the same. Nobody will be too selfish because we'll have close to or the most possessions between us and the opponent in the league per game.

I'm doing some projections for my mega fantasy NBA spreadsheet and have him at 20.2ppg.

Got him doing 8.3/13.9 (60%) from the field and 3.6/4.7 (77%) at the line. Those are up from 7.2/12.3 (59%) and 2.0/2.7 (75%) from last season. He needs to get more bunnies at the line and convert them. Still a 4.0ppg increase from last season in the same amount of minutes, so there's wiggle room for sure.

Very low increase, won't surprise me at all if he gets 15 shots that he drops 22-23ppg, he can do that easily.

I expect around 18 ppg, but it is not really important. Who cares if he averages 17 ppg or 19ppg.... DEFENSE is gonna be what we want to watch out there and if he is not capable he will go to the bench.

We are gonna try to win games for real this next season, and defense is much needed. Saric and Kaminsky do not provide any rim protection, so Ayton NEEDS to be a force defending the rim.

It is a critical point in his career, because if Ayton will not improve defensively we probably play more minutes Baynes looking for toughness and intimidation.

This next season we will know for sure if Ayton goes KAT or Okafor...he can go both ways at this point, but hopefully he goes Towns all the way.

Yeah, PPG doesn't matter to me...he will get easy points. Of course I hope Rubio sets him up a lot and he will, but the only chance of us going anywhere will come down to his defense, especially considering the rest of our squad. He has a long way to go there, and hopefully he's working on it.

He should be in the 20’s now that Igor is gone and the Suns have a PG. Like others have said, I just hope his defense improves. Scoring and rebounding should come easy for him.
