I agreed with a bunch of the posts on Korver in the last thread.

Yes, Korver is super done. He was done last season, so he certainly is now.

Yes, I simultaneously would also take him on this team, so long as he can be a vet min, closer to end-of-bench guy who could come in for 10 mins a game or as-needed to just stand in one spot and take 3s.

No, that doesn't get to be "it". Korver and Matthews do not replace Brogdon, so they certainly don't upgrade us over where we were last season.

EDIT: I also think he'll end up with the Lakers, though. LeBron likes him. They need players.

Right now Brogdon has been replaced by RoLo, Wes, a 2020 mid first and 2 future 2nd's. We don't sign RoLo if we match Brogdon is my guess. Heck, we probably don't sign Hill either.

I am 100% yes on Korver. His shooting numbers are staggering when he's on a good team. 15-20 mpg easily would give that a shot.

He feels like peace of mind for the loss of Mirotic.... Can replace a little bit of that three ball that we lost.

We’ll have a lot more plausible trade scenarios when we can deal Bledsoe come September.

Right now we are short on big cap slots to acquire more expensive / better players.

This Simmons pod is outstanding.

At the 35 minute mark, Russillo starts talking about RealGM.

Highlighting this as we celebrate Carl from the Nets board reporting the Kidd negotiations from five years ago.

Still think we could really use an athletic three/four as best the market dictates. Plenty of solid veteran third string point guards available but I also kinda like Kendrick Nunn for that spot.

Yeah, I forgot about that loss. I was really hopeful when we got Mirotic. I was super disappointed in what we got. I honestly wouldn't be in the market for him if we was an NBA FA. He made it easy on us. Still a loss though as what did we give up for him? Maker? Yeah well, he sucks so..... :)

Korver is literally unplayable on defense. I'd rather try and mine for someone who COULD play playoff minutes for us.

don't agree with korver being done just like I didn't agree with terry being done when we got him.

and i should say there are degrees of being done. Korver is done but not done done. so when I say hes not done I mean hes not done done. and that means hes still got something

If there's a team where Korver could be a positive, it's the Bucks. You still have to stay in his shirt.

Many don't really get what makes Korver special. A lot of players in the NBA can hit open 3's at a high clip. What Korver does is being able to make shots with minimal separation. The question is if he's still capable of getting that separation, not if he's still able to shoot.

in 1085 minutes with the jazz this season their defensive rating didn't move whether he was on the floor or not. whats your take on that?

If they can get Korver they'll have all season to figure out if it works or doesn't. We're at the point where the regular season doesn't matter a whole lot. It's about figuring out the best possible lineups for the playoffs.

Check his playoff minutes. That was because of defense.

I have little doubt that the roster we have now won't be the roster we have in October when the season opens. And it especially won't be the roster we have when the playoffs start in April.

30 minutes he played....no telling if he was battling injury..... one matchup against one of the tougher teams in the league to guard pace and space.....hard to draw any conclusion off a smaple size so small involving a single opponent

again.... 1085 minutes with the jazz leading up until then and his on/offs were slightly positive. a slight positive offensively and slight negative defensively. that's really good for coming off the bench for a 50 win team known for their defense and ball movement. the year before he was a massive positive on defense both regular season and playoffs in over 2000 minutes.

he has been solid for several years lets not rule him out over that one series? :dontknow:
