they might be pissed, but they're so invested at this point, why would they not delay. makes no sense for any of them to pull out.

The trade will definitely be done, it hurts the Lakers because their incompetence didn't see the cap implications of the deal. Making the trade official without a Kawhi commitment leaves the Lakers at $27 million cap - which they no longer can offer a max.

- Players cant sign anything yet. Right now its just commitments/Agreements

Reasons to be positive
- We've built trust and have organizational stability
- Going to the Lakers to join a big 3 after winning a ship is not good perception around the league and also won't be as fullfiling (e.g Durant)
- Clippers will always be the step child

So look, we have exhibit 1: this blurry picture of a guy who vaguely looks like drake, talking to another guy who may be a random, but maybe not

exhibit 2: we've tracked a plane from Toronto to somewhere in California. Possibly LA, possibly San Diego. Kawhi is not on the plane, unless maybe he is

exhibit 3: we have Cris Carter saying Kawhi is going to the lakers, except he may just be saying his opinion of what he thinks Kawhi should do, but he may also be reporting what Kawhi's agent told him to say before Kawhi announces it himself, but he may also have been told by Kawhi's agent to report that Kawhi is still undecided.

exhibit 4: we have hundreds of adult men who are reported to be in their late 20's to late 30's, who may or may not be married with successful careers, but may or may not also be unemployed virgins, who are using a message board as a makeshift instant messaging group chat like this is 2003
