Good story on huggy bear recruiting Carter. The more I go back and check out Carter I can see why Jones would want a guy like him around he's got real toughness and edge to him. He's the type of dude you want in a practice busting people ass.

I like this poor man's Pat Bev. If he can give us some productive minutes off the bench with great D and hitting the occasional 3, I think we have a winner here.

Going back through predraft stuff the two names that get thrown around as comps are Fred Van Vleet and Beverly. They specifically talked about how he's like Beverly guarding bigs on a switch where he uses his strength and feistyness to do a good job fronting players much bigger than he is.

You're some how equating second round picks to unprotected 1sts. We give away 2nd round picks for essentially nothing because they are worth essentially nothing.

As a lifelong Suns and WVU fan trust me. Carter is a player who will help. His work ethic and attitude are second to none.

He was a 2 star recruit with 1 P5 offer (WVU) and in 2 years worked his way to being one of the best PGs in college basketball.

If he played at UNC or Duke or Michigan ect he's a lottery pick. He is a lockdown defender who can score in a multitude of ways. I bet he gets to 2nd unit. He will see minutes.

His scoring at the NBA level has left a lot to be desired. I'm not as across how his offense was in college but he has real trouble finishing at the NBA level. It could be due to his so-so athleticism and average wing span but he's been pretty rubbish from 2pt range and in the paint.

I like that his shooting I'm high on and looks very promising as does his defensive abilities and overall effort but I really only see him as a future 3&D guy

I think he'll be more valuable as a practice player than actually ever helping them in a game.

You need a couple of these intense MFers at practice to bust guys ass and raise the intensity level.

I call him Huevón Carter.

It's a cross-words joke.

It may mean lazy or dumb but in some american countries goes for dude or bro.

Ethimologically, tho, could be used meaning brave, cool or even macho-man

Literally, means exactly this:

I like this guy.
I hope he scratches some spot at the rotation.

Watching him the first player that comes to my mind is Ronnie Price.

He is the type of player that you want at the end of your bench, he is gonna play extra hard every single time. And he is good enough to play solid minutes if needed.

Al McCoy has been the voice of the suns since 1972 and had to look it up but: He has missed only one Suns game due to illness (December 31, 2005) Anyways one of the sayings he says and I always like to say while watching the suns games is ITS HUEVO TIME

He says it in this clip

I didn't know.
I'm hearing it in the 00:28 of the clip.

Do you know what he means with that?

I'm thinking about different possibilities but I lack context.

TBH I have no idea I just like to say it now lol

My best guess is he got served some eggs for dinner on the sideline and was super excited and matched up with the dunk

Mmmh...

Maybe he was raised in a humble and poor family so the day they managed to have an egg for dinner was considered memorable.

Addedit: Now I remember there's a mexican speciality named Huevos Rancheros

I guess when he said It's Huevo time! he meant : It's feast time! It's enjoy-yourself time!

Mmmh...

Maybe we're derrailing too much this thread's off-topic. This stuff should be more of a Black Troll Suns topic.
I will always name him The Golden Boy but I'll think about your Huevo-RR stuff and I'll let you know.

In the meantime, I quit it here.

Gratitude for your kind feedback.
