I don't know about airport rules for private jets. Can they arrange take off times at any point in the day? If so, and Kawhi was on the plane, why the heck would he leave so early? If the airport is flexible on departure times, an early flight would indicate it's going empty and coming back with passengers.

Now my theory falls apart if MLSE is restricted to morning departures.

If you look at this flight's scheduled departure time it was 0600 but it actually took off at 7:30

With a private jet you log your flight but there's a ton of flexibility and you take off basically whenever.

The terminal where the private jets take off from Pearson is private but not that private. There are still a lot of staff there that he would be exposed to. My guess is we would get confirmation by now. Its not like he left middle of the night. He would have been commuting there in the morning with lots of traffic and activity. Could be wrong but given the state of the city we would know if he was on the plane

I flew out the private terminal a few weeks ago (weird flex but ok), and you cross paths with at least 10 people from the front desk, to pseudo-passport check, to dudes on the tarmac. These people all must sign confidentiality agreements or at least are expected not to disclose who's going in and out, but with something this big it would be shocking if it didn't leak he was flying out.
