Haha, so you’ve never seed him but you still have a fully formed opinion on his teammate?
Don’t understand where this is coming from. Yeah, he’ll be in trouble if he gets switched out onto Harden/Curry on the perimeter. But he came in out of college and banged with big balkan bodies as well as anyone in recent memory. He’s a big bloody banger of a boomer. There’s a reason he’s already leveled up to a Euroleague contract after one year.

Since when "from what I've heard" means that I have a fully formed opinion?
I just relayed the words of a Partizan guy, he may be bitter because he left or whateved, never asked him to elaborate. Generally decent stats in ABA don't mean a lot, Milutinov was producing similar number in younger age over there, and had to develop for 3 years to an Euroleague contributor; Williams-Goss was Gross for us this year, but he has ungodly stats over there etc. This happens when the league is comprised of 2-3 Eurocup-level teams and none has any money to keep their academy products or get proven foreigners.

I was referring to your unenthusiastic assessment of his teammate Vanja Marinkovic from a few months ago. There are definitely generalities about the difference in leagues to be made, but I think you gotta go case by case over there. There’s not much separation from the bottom half of Euroleague teams and the top Eurocup/ACB squads. Landale is savvy, has good instincts and plays with a chip. There’s no reason he can’t be an adequate to solid defender. He’s no Miroslav Radjulica.

Anyone know if this guy has any legit NBA potential? 2 way maybe?
Haven't seen him in Europe but he must have improved a lot to be considered a legit NBA prospect.

None is Miroslav Radjulica, ever
There's a significant difference between the Eurocup contenders (traditionally whoever is decent from germany/turkey that year, and the 1-2 good spanish and russian teams that are left out of EL tickets) or the bottom-5 EL teams (excluding this year, Dacka, Canaria and the Montenegrins were atrocious) and the rest of the Eurocup, which is the level of the Yugo teams lately. It's also a matter of pace, each league is different in that regard

I agree you can differentiate the leagues stylistically (I.e French League is more athletic, Israeli league is more small guard dominant, Greek league is trash

Surprised they would say that because I’d read a month ago that he was suffering from drop foot after back surgery and would be limited at SL

Re: Summer League Discussion
From ESPN+
Here are my two best Vegas Summer League futures bets.
Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook.
Milwaukee Bucks (25-1)
Milwaukee's team will be led by Sterling Brown and D.J. Wilson (each played roughly 18 minutes per game for the Bucks this past season). The organization has expressed their excitement to see what Brown and Wilson can bring to the table in featured roles. I think both are going to be regular rotation players in the NBA for a long time showing versatility on both ends of the floor -- those skillsets go a long way at the summer league level. It was just last year that Josh Hart won MVP, averaging 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Brown and Wilson both have the ability to duplicate that production.
The Bucks also have big man Bonzie Colson on the roster. Colson actually got two starts for Milwaukee late last season and averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and two made 3-pointers in each game. He has the ability to stretch and space the floor, which bodes well in a Mike Budenholzer system. We'll call it the Brook Lopez role (but a much better rebounder). Point guard Xavier Munford has been an NBA G League regular for the past five seasons. These past two years he averaged 22.6 points and 5.2 assists on 42 percent 3-point shooting for the Wisconsin Herd. The Bucks also rostered a few rookies flying under the radar that can make a positive impact.
Everybody remembers Wofford's Fletcher MaGee (set collegiate record for made 3-pointers in his career) and North Carolina big man Luke Maye (a double-double machine). But even Rayjon Tucker was a 20-point scorer at Arkansas Little Rock last year and will be a viable scoring option off the bench. Finally, we can't forget the Notre Dame connection between Colson and point guard Matt Farrell (another 3-point shooting threat).
Milwaukee's toughest matchup will come in their opener Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers, but their next three preliminary games come against three of the worst rosters in the Las Vegas Summer League (Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Team China). Remember, the top eight teams get seeded for the tournament. I think the Bucks have a great chance of finishing 3-1 or better and snagging one of those eight spots. At that point with a 25-1 ticket in our back pockets, we'll be sitting pretty.

Re: Summer League Discussion
Can't believe some of our dudes are suiting up today. Expectations are high for Sterling and DJ. They should be able to clown most of these fools at this point.

I don’t really ever expect Sterling and DJ to dominance. What I do expect of them is continuing to fine-tune their roleplayer skillsets: hit open 3’s at an acceptable rate, play hardnosed defense, be smart with the ball (Sterling showed some improvements in the ball-handling department can he continue an upward trajectory), rebound the ball.

If you are talking about Landale, he's terrible on defense.

There is a big gap from any decent EuroLeague team to the best non EuroLeague teams of ACB and the EuroCup. Definitely a big gap from many of the ACB teams, which overall is a worse league than FIBA Champions League or EuroCup.
It's a large gap. From elite EuroCup teams like Budocnost and UNICS, that greatly increase their budgets when they go to EuroLeague, and still can't do a thing. UNICS has a 15 million euros budget, when they are in EuroCup, then 20 million when they are in EuroLeague, and they can't ever do anything in EuroLeague.
Khimki has a 18 million euro budget when they are in EuroCup and 23 million euros budget when they go to EuroLeague...still can't do a thing, even adding all that money. Teams like Rytas and ALBA are good in EuroCup........couldn't do a thing in EuroLeague.
So good EuroCup teams increase their budget by 1/3 when they go to EuroLeague, and then are typically terrible in EuroLeague. That's a large gap in quality. Like the difference from a NCAA power conference to a mid major.
An accurate assessment is not much separation from the worst EuroLeague teams like Darussafaka or Gran Canaria (after all their injuries).
Bottom half of EuroLeague teams...no way, other than those two above, any of them would have easily won the EuroCup.
