Is every body in a coma.

If Kawhi was signing in LA, either of the LA teams would have sent a private plane to pick him up.

They would not give the Raptors a chance to Deandre Jordan him past noon tomorrow.

kawhi has not informed either team of his decision yet, especially the lakers since they would start signing players. Kawhi likely told the raptors he will make his final decision this afternoon/evening once he is back at his home in san diego. Kawhi is en route to his home, and once he settles in uncle dennis will make the calls. It is irrelevant if kawhi was on the plane or not.

Probably an announcement in an hour or two.

This is the most reasonable explanation of the flight back to san diego. Uncle Dennis is an old man, no one cares about celebrating his birthday.

I heard that there was an MLSE plane that landed in San Diego. Has Kawhi left Toronto yet? I read on twitter that he has family in SD.

My theory:

He's signing with us and he wants some of his family around him when he announces. So he sends the plane to go and get them.
