Nope, he's referencing flight time and speed unidirectionally - east to west =/= west to east - owing to the the opposing force of the jet stream slowing down your movement when going east to west. When heading in the opposite direction, you're enjoying the luxury of not having to counter headwinds. Basic physics.

You guys DO realize that he's able to re-sign while in San Diego at his HOME, and this very same plane everyone is stalking can go back and get him whenever they schedule the press conference, right? Just because the man wants to be home doesn't mean he wants to be in Los freakin Angeles. Home is San Diego for him. Even during the parade he mentioned how he couldn't wait to get back to San Diego.

yep due to different direction we don't know if there is 1 or 2 persons more on board or not.
