so in conclusion you're wrong.

Sure Jan. He just rides the pine because the organization hates him. He can start by not looking like a deer in the headlights when he’s out there on offense. I’d say, I can’t wait for him to get traded, but, I suspect the obsession will only be worse, anytime he deflects a pass in his 8 minutes of playing time elsewhere.

So let me get this straight, and correct me if Im wrong, but you're willing to forgive Frank's complete ineptitude on offense while being totally unforgiving of Randle's defensive woes? :reporter:

Seriously, what's the point of giving up on Frank? He's still 20! He doesn't cost much, and money isn't even a consideration for this team at this point. What advantage is there to giving him up for nothing? Or for a 2nd round pick? At the very least just let him fight for playing time with DSJ & Payton.

while that is true Knox plays on the perimeter as well and he is an atrocious defender...Randle has no business being as bad as he is on defense...he just needs to care more especially if we want him to be a lead dog.

Kanter is a 5 and Randle is a stretch 4, Mitch will make up for some of his lack of defense and Randle can compensate for Mitch lack of a post game with his offense, you can’t play Kanter at the 4 with Mitch because they’re both centers who he can’t shoot at all, Randle would fit better

lol i'm not butthurt, it's so comforting knowing that you're nothing but a hypocrite that just didn't like kanter. the defense was just a reason to hate on him.

and what's more comforting is that other people now realize how you're just a couch scout like everyone else and have been the butt end of jokes when it comes to judging players.

just promise us all one thing this upcoming season, don't pull the same thing you did with trey burke. you know, when he had a good game you'd let us all know about it but once he had a bad game you magically weren't watching the game.

You don’t understand! Defense above literarily anything else, is the most important aspect of he game! Who needs to actually, you know score, when you could hold opponents to 95 a game (while struggling to score 85, yourself)

nah, he litteraly can't shoot outside the paint. He's a mobile 5 man. He would absolutely destroy your spacing if you had him as a 4 and had a Mitch or someone at the 5.

Guys I know the former bulls pretty well.
Taj is 6'9 so kinda suited for spot 5 minutes unless there's literally a team he matches up great with.

He is very comfortable with the midrange shot, even heard he shoots the 3 now. A pretty lofty bench player, minny had to start him a lot.

no, and that's why in my roster predictions frank isn't even in the rotation.

one of trier and dotson will also not be in the rotation.

that in theory makes sense. Have a defensive 5 is always better because usually they are put in the P&R but that won't stop people from running a 1-4 P&R or 1-3 P&R with DSJ and Knox/Randle which could be a huge issue.

Randle does fit better with Mitch assuming he can continue to improve his jumper a bit. However he just simply needs to be a better defender...he was kanter level defense last year and Kanter has cement feet. Randle is quick enough to be a passable defender...just about effort.

Randle has been in the league for 5 years and is on his 3rd team. Frank has been in the league for 2. If he is completely inept on offense 3 years from now, I bet there would be a lot more people willing to give up on him.

I get having a lot of shooting, but you’re not signing those guys to let them rot on the bench.

Since they are 1+1, maybe it is a contingency since none of the signings are ironman.
Ellington missed 30 games last year, Elfrid missed 40 and 20 in last 2 years, Bullock played 272 in 6 years (around 45). It is highly possible that we will not see them on the bench (even at the practice) at the same time.

Thx for pulling the numbers. Let's hope you're right.

You've got Laker fans coming in here telling us he played decent defense while he was there, so how about we just wait until we can see him play in a Knicks jersey before writing him off on that end of the court. For the record, I am also not writing Frank off, but he needs to show me something this season, even a reliable jumper would be enough for me to say he deserves a roster spot.

Ok, fair enough. I won't pretend to know much about Randle's game. I'm willing to let it play out. I was just pointing out the difference in experience between him and Frank.
