Nice to see Mitch get some recognition. He deserves it. The Frank news isn’t anything new. It’s pretty obvious the front office/coaching staff really doesn’t see him as part of the core moving forward. I’d give him another year, but realistically Fiz is probably gonna bury him on the bench if he’s here this season. For Frank’s sake, a change of scenery might be best case for his career.

but if he could get back to even 60-70% of what was expected of him, he'd be a great PG with shooters around him, after pairing him with randle

can't we, meaning Fiz of course, just tell each player if you're not playing defense or at least giving the effort on defense then you're not gonna be playing in games and definitely aren't gonna be starting? There's different kind of defenders, there's the high IQ guys that give the effort and know how to play defense because their IQ is so high and then there's guys that give the effort on defense but don't necessarily have the IQ but at least they're giving the effort which i can deal with. It's the guys that don't give the effort that i have a problem with or play the matador defense (as Clyde would say) that i can't deal with.

Then when you take them out of games and they sit and whine on the end of the bench or talk smack about it on the bench or after the game you simply sit down with that player after the game and ask them to sit there and point out where they played defense while the coach sits there and points out where they didn't play defense.
