How YOU look it at is more like it. Your sentiment wasn't shared in the NBA world, as 4 other forwards were voted All-NBA over Lebron, and he wasn't even top 10 in MVP votes. You keep holding onto the past though, as I see him as the player he really is now.

Even with LeBron losing a half-step, Dokic, PG13, and Embiid over LeBron and AD is a no.

It’s delusion. I see a lot of posters here that can’t seperate what they want to be or hope for vs what is.

Bron's lost about 4 steps on defense, but just because he can still bully to the rim and dunk hard, some see him as still a top player, and associate physical ability over all around play. The mystique he's embedded on people for a lot of years is going to be tough to shake. Only playing 55 games last year and decline on defense is just the beginning of Father Time catching up with him.
I'd still say he's top 5 in needing a bucket with the game on the line, though.

You know the lakers shut him down right? Why risk playing games when the team was going nowhere. He’s still a top 5 player.

Shutting him down has nothing to do with how many of his stats were the worst in years for him. He had his worst PER in 12 seasons. Some advanced metrics were his worst since his rookie season. That's called age/decline and it happens to every player.

I have a feeling with his most rest ever and not having to carry as big a load he will be as good as ever.

Worst for HIM doesn’t equate to not top 10. it’s more of a testament to how great he’s been. Sure he will decline and he won’t beat Father Time but he’s going to be able to manage his minutes with AD there and if kawhi goes - he will be rested and fine for the playoffs.
His biggest problem last year was lateral movement on defense and keeping his man from driving past him, with AD in the lane they are aren’t going to get easy looks at the rim anymore.

It will definitely be an intriguing thing to watch next season, with or without Kawhi. The Lakers have always gotten like 70% of their games on national tv anyway, and they'll probably have 75 appearances this coming year.

The thing that seems to happen with the guys who hit LBJs career minutes is they just don't produce big numbers in the regular season anymore. What does seem to happen is they still find ways to put up the big numbers in big playoffs games. KG and Pierce did it for us. Duncan did it for the Spurs. Kobe did it in his later years. Wade did it in his later years. Jordan did it.
IMO you're right that LBJ isn't a top 5 regular season player anymore, but I still wouldn't want to be the sucker who bets all my money against him in a playoff series when the talent between his team and the other is similar.
