How can somebody with any sense of logic look at free agency, amount of $$$$ that was spent, see Vučević at 4 years - $100M and think " oh my lord that waaaaaaay too much" ?

Freaking Tobias Harris got $180M a year.
33 years old Al Horford 4 years $109M
Freaking MIddleton ,who is definition of third option on championship team- 5 years $178M
Barnes 4 years $85M
Even Valenchunas, who was backup for part of a season has $15M a year .

I don't think Vuc's deal is bad, but I'd rather have Valanciunas for 3/45 for.

Damn! :D

for the record, i don't think Vuc contract was too much $, would have preferred a year less on the thing but hey, it is what it is now.

Well Jonas is good player, but Nikola is better.
Also Jonas is alraedy 27 so it's not like you are getting much younger.
I don't really think Magic were in position to choose, Jonas probably already had unofficial deal with Memphis on a dask when he opt out of last year of his deal to sign this one.

I’d peg us at 38-44 wins next season unless we have a breakout season from someone

I realise they play different positions, but up and down, Vučević has better stat-lines than Harris:
player comparison LINK

Vučević is a better scorer, rebounder, and assists man. Vučević has better offensive win shares and defensive win shares. Vučević crushes Harris in box-score plus-minus.

And Orlando gets Vučević for 11M a year less. :o

I think Vucevic is the best player of the above. He passes like a guard, his post moves are elite, he shoots from all ranges. I really wonder if he will work on his pull up shooting this summer. He is so efficient. If most of our guys didnt shoot below 25% from 3 during playoffs we would give Toronto run for their money. Our rotation last year included raw like hell Bamba and Isaac, fringe nba Grant, MCW, Iwundu and Martin. 6 guys who would not make Raptors rotation last year at all. Isaac would spend whole year in gleague and he is the best of the bunch. God i hope Fultz is healthy and we can play average nba talent around Vuc.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I think OrlandO just has PTSD from the years of Vuc hate.

A lot o people don't realize how the combindation of skills that vuc possesses.... is pretty damn special. And happy you brought up fultz. When fultz was in college he did WORK in pick and roll plays.... vuc has not really played with that kinda pg... lol this team in general hasn't in a while. And having a big pg with that level of athleticism will help even further on the defensive end. We had a top ten defense.... and even better down the stretch with DJ freaking augustin as our PG. No offense DJ cuz i still got love for you.... but we all and you know that ..... yeahhhhhh

AG will be the one to break out
Fultz may not get his shot back but he will be a beast of an athlete on defense and average about 15 points 8 and 8
JI will be consistent on defense and catching oops
Vuc will make shots but the Team will undoubtedly be AGs
Ross wins 6th man
Mamba gets traded
49 wins. fultz plays good in post season and we go to conf semis
